Nintendo

There was a HD remaster released on Wii U, if you have one. And if your PC is less than 10 years old you can probably emulate it on Dolphin.

I haven't got a Wii U sadly, but I do have a laptop, but I don't know what Dolphin is. I can research though so maybe i'll figure it out. Thanks

Most of the big Nintendo IPs have either had a new title recently or will have a new one soon (Pokémon, Zelda, Mario (though granted this one was more of a spin-off), Kirby, Splatoon, Bayonetta, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, etc) so I'm really not sure what can be expected in terms of big announcements at this point? I wouldn't mind if they focused on the upcoming DLC for some of these games and also showed some smaller titles (and the new Zelda of course), but I'm happy to be surprised.

Not every big Nintendo IP has been represented on Switch just yet…

I would bet money on a new 3D Mario later in the year. That movie has to lead to something huge, right?

I was thinking the same last name. It would be bizarre for Nintendo to waste a huge film without some kind of game after it. I feel we will get a new Mario game for October/November.

I'd imagine big trailer for Zelda obviously, its coming out really soon, Pikmin 4 probably, Octopath Traveler final trailer and possibly a demo (first game had two) as its coming out this month. Maybe an Animal Crossing side game? Its weird how they've just tossed New Horizons aside last year but given its sales i wouldnt be surprised if they had a side game coming. Mario is likely too.

Pokemon will probably get its own direct later this month on a Pokemon day but i suppose they could throw a side game into Nintendo direct but its not very likely.

I wonder if they have the movie without any kind of new release? Not expecting a brand new 3D Mario and surely they know it will just drive Mario Kart sales into trillions finally but releasing nothing is weird?

A game collection would already be nice. I'd love for the Game Boy Super Mario Lands to be updated into a small cute collection maybe since they haven't been rereleased to death.

There were rumours floating about last year that a new 2D Mario was going to be released alongside the Mario movie. I remember one of the rumours specifically said Spike (a character in the film) was in this new game. It would be a gag if they announced a new Mario at this hypothetical Direct and it released two months later, around early April, with the film.

That's obviously not very likely but I think a Mario platformer of some description is a safe bet for this year. And obviously +1 to all Paper Mario love.

I'd be all for a new 2D-Mario if they actually put some love into it. Seriously, comparing the New Super Mario Bros. series to the last Rayman or Donkey Kong entries, it's almost embarrassing.

I too am tired of the plasticky artstyle all Mario games have nowadays, but with the upcoming movie, I don't see them doing anything different anytime soon.

Now that Beyoncé and Madonna have bankrupted me I could do with this being shit if I'm honest.

I'll look forward to Zelda and hope for a crumb of Metroid and Advance Wars.
