Finished Bayonetta 3 after putting it off since October... I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a game in my entire life. And it's not just the awful story that completely desensitizes our courageous heroine into a sappy lovestruck idiot. The gameplay was a chore with the desperation to make each fight bigger & bigger with a new stupider boss. But then the cherry on top, after finishing the hour long final chapter and sitting through Bayonetta's crappiest dance yet, the game welcomed me with a black screen that I couldn't do anything about. It didn't save any of my progress on the last chapter.

FUCK this game & Yusuke Miyata. I'm absolutely heartbroken.

I’m sorry to hear you feel this, I know you’re a big fan! I had a good time with the gameplay myself and I enjoyed a lot of the sequences but yeah, the story and characterisation was a mess.

Big numbers as usual!! Bayonetta 3 sales are alright, Metroid is a little disappointing!

Fire Emblem Engage selling less than half what the previous game did is most pleasing to me. Great gameplay, but what a step back from Three Houses.

Splatoon 3 sales look comparable to Splatoon 2, but it’s an overall better game so I hope it picks up steam again with the DLC. I’ve come to really love the series.

Nnot Engage kinda flopping, we're going to get high school simulators for the rest of eternity.

I doubt there were any expectations of Engage doing as well as Three Houses, really. Three Houses felt like a much bigger, more important release, whereas Engage was more of lighter, spin-off-ish kind of affair. I imagine the next Fire Emblem game will be more along the lines of Three Houses and feel more like a "main" game than Engage did.

Not to mention Engage is already the 4th best selling Fire Emblem game of all time, and thats with Fates/Awakening having nearly/over a decade head start. I wouldn't be surprised if Engage ends up beating Awakening's sales.

I do think that they will return to the Three Houses approach for the next installment but at the very least it shows the series still has a robust fanbase.

I was mostly being facetious, I saw some fan theories that the Three Houses team has been tasked with the next remake which would be ideal strictly from a writing perspective with the base game already done. My concerns more so come with Three Houses being far and away the weakest game in the series in terms of map design: despite its many strengths, the former is the primary driver of the mileage I get out of any entry so I was/still am not optimistic on the Three Houses team handling a mainline original entry.

I need each and every member of this forrem to purchase one (1) copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3

I mean the Bayo sales are probably better than alright.

Considering B1 has been rereleased on every platform going and the Switch saved the WiiU port (which limped to about 400k), B3 has done pretty well so far, if it continues it could out sell both.

They're dropping the GBA versions of Mario 2, Mario World and Yoshi's Island on Switch Online next Friday.

The way I'm not going to be able to help myself from dropping my playthrough of Tears of the Kingdom for these, millenial nostalgia is a disease.

I might be overleveled but Octopath Traveler has been pretty easy so far. With the exception of a few mildly tricky bosses, nothing has given me trouble.
