I wonder if on MKW you can custom your own cups and that will change the routes between courses etc. Can't believe how soon this is and yet it feels ages away at the same time.
They did say in the VS mode that you'll be able to pick route that aren't available in the grand prix/cup mode, so seems unlikely, but doesn't stop you using VS mode (which you can play single player vs computers) to create your own custom tour I guess.
I dunno why, but if feels like they aren’t showing their full hand yet? Like could they actually have a strategy post launch and up to Xmas to be a bit more aggressive and they have some unannounced surprises up their sleeve for the rest of the year?
I suspect we'll have another Direct in June just after launch to discuss the rest of the year, essentially once Donkey Kong is out in July the rest of the year is TBC for Nintendo published title release dates, so they'll need to start announcing them soon.

Wasn’t there some press release a few months ago about having enough stock to deal with the demand? I swear they said what happened with the PS5 wouldn’t happen with the Switch 2?

“[Nintendo President] Mr. [Shuntaro] Furukawa last week announced that we’ll have 15 million units in our forecast for Nintendo Switch 2 and 4.5 million units for Nintendo Switch during the fiscal year. That forecast was really driven by wanting to match, if you will, what we accomplished with Nintendo Switch in the first 10 months of its release. As we look at our plans here in the U.S., we do believe we’ll have production and supply that will allow us to meet consumer demand. We know there’s been strong positive reaction to Nintendo Switch 2 early on and we’ve seen that through our preorders, but we do have a plan to have a continuous flow of product that’ll be available through the holidays.”

Fantasy Life not getting a physical release in Europe is so lame, especially as a bunch of stores actually have/had it listed, so clearly one was planned before the game was delayed. I was planning on that being my last physical Switch game, but guess that's not going to happen after all. Not about to spend 60/70€ on a digital game either, so so much for that. What a dumb move.

The gameplay clip on that last Direct also looked pretty... choppy. Glad they announced a Switch 2 upgrade pack. I'm still going to buy it on Switch though dd, use up the last of my gold points.

Earned some gold points today

I thought that system was done for good, I hadn't realised you can still get them from some physical releases ff

The Switch 2 box arts are all so ugly. For a company that usually has pretty gorgeous box art, Nintendo have really dropped the ball with the design. Between the red border and the insane amount of text they’re plastering all over them, it’s like they don’t want any physical purchases this gen.

I'll never buy from Game again. I ordered a LEGO limited edition game and it never got delivered and I never got a refund. I'm still not over it..

Anyway, I have Thursday off, but do have plans in the evening. Tempted to take it with me just to be obnoxious.
