She said it has so much power vocal- and productionwise. But I am highly pessimistic. I really don´t like the modern "Schlagerpop"-direction the songs so far have. The originals sound much more fun and camp.
And yes "Rivers of Joy" and "Daylight" were....are THE songs.
A smart person told them. It’s the only route that makes sense for them. It’s were the money is and the younger Helene Fischer crowd can handle them well.
No one will ever care about No Angels doing modern pop in 2021 besides a couple cigs. They're gunning for mainstream audience and in German Pop, Schlager it is.
They can tour the Schlager TV circuit forever. And also feed into the 2000 nostalgia for festivals. It was the only road to take.

Oh wow, I cannot even imagine Rivers of Joy with 'current' production. The original is such a vibe, I'm not sure how they'll pull this off.

We only know that the tracklist contains of 16 re-recordings and only 4 new tracks. ":("
Another one of the re-recorded ones will be released on friday.
They're only doing the first three albums and it's gonna be hits/singles as well as album tracks that have nostalgic value and are fan favorites.
Listened to Rivers Of Joy for the first time in like 15 years. What a bop!
It would would gain immensely from updated procution, it could do with a bit more oomph and the synthie strings sound so dated. Shame that the new version will probably not sound as faithful to the original as I'm hoping.

But they are mostly rerecording them to get rid of Vanessa's vocals. There is literally no point to reimagine Welcome To The Dance? Plus no one cared and the new versions would most likely be more outdated sounding then the old ones going by what we've heard so far.
