No Angels - Celebration Tour + General Discussion

My cousin won a radio contest when they just started out and she was able to meet them.

Thanks to that I have the first album signed by all 5 angels. Most precious CD I own.

Thanks to this thread I found this slayage again, bopped hard back then - so 2007 but still one life giving bop of a remix

Goodbye to Yesterday original was and still is a well written song. One of their more timeless singles.

Maybe was a cute little summer bop, flop stan me forgot it existed tbh, just listened again.

Really love "Goodbye to Yesterday" - it has such a classic feel. A perfect continuation, more grown up version of their original sound. And the video is beautiful. Really loved the styling.

The remix is also such a guilty pleasure.

Guess who bought the vinyl,

Y'all I must have ordered this when I was LIT. I opened the package and was like WHO BOUGHT THIS?! Still though, I love having them on vinyl. Like BISH! Finally!

EDIT

It's such a quality release. A gatefold, there's a poster, images on the inside, printed sleeves for the discs. I paid $46 but it's really so terrific. It's one of my better vinyl purchases recently.

Who opens New Day?
I genuinely think it's a Kate Ryan song whenever it comes on (the song itself does(n't) help there!)

I agree. That live performance was top notch. And the classy vibe suits them really well, their harmonies also worked well again!

To be honest, it made me curious for their 2022 concert. It think it will be good and worth it. Wonder if they end up including such covers during thew concert as well. Although they do already have quite some covers in their discography. I am a big fan of All Cried Out to be honest. Swing version slays too.

Here is hope it sells well and more one off concerts will be added.

Love that they are WORKING towards selling it and not just disappearing until then!!
They had better release a single too, no matter how it fares chartwise.

Please no covers. They have a brillant singles catalogue and a handful of good album tracks. Maybe one or two if they have to but there is plenty of material by themselves.

That said the omission of Let’s Go To Bed on the 20 album is a choice and I guess also a sad preview of what not to expect. It’s one of their best (Single Version).

I can’t believe I missed this before it was released. I need that 20 vinyl in my collection. I’m also here for the new Daylight mix and video. I died at that breakdown. They were always a guilty pleasure of mine that I couldn’t share with anyone being in the middle of nowhere Iowa. I’m going to have to do a solid listen of 20, though, but from what I’ve already heard I’m liking it.

Too Much was a nice performance... except for Sandy belting that high note.... I don't understand the logic. It can't have been comfortable to belt that high

You better believe I ordered it shortly after I read about it on here. I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long to get here. I’m always hesitant when a band re-records old* material, and to have refreshed an entire Greatest Hits album, I was more than weary. I listened to the whole of 20 last night on Apple Music; I loved finding their complete album discography here in the US. I’ve zero complaints. It’s fun AND fresh takes on some of my favorite pop tracks of the early 2000s. These women really did that!

*I originally posted ‘new’ instead of ‘old’.
