1979 Visage was formed as a studio "Supergroup" - consisting of Midge Ure and Rusty Egan (from the recently split-up Rich Kids), Bill Currie (from Ultravox who were on a break after John Foxx left the band) and Steve Strange as well as members from the band Magazine!
1980 Midge Ure joins Ultravox
1982 Midge Ure leaves Visage
1987 Ultravox split up
It's all exciting stuff and should be made into a BBC4 Docu film!

Edit - and let's not forget that in 1982 Midge Ure and Chris Cross from Ultravox were busy directing Music Videos by Bananarama, The Fun Boy Three as well as others....

Midge hasn't exactly been on the breadline since 1987, but it's odd how quickly his star waned after looking like the perfect solo career was afoot with The Gift.

I love NOW 11, it's my favourite (pre) teen NOW. The pop selections are just perfect.

Artwork looks nice all re-scaled.

 

Absolutely thrilled with this news! I know a lot of people seemed to want them to stop the reissues when they hit 10 but 11 and 12 are my all time favourite NOWs so I'm chuffed to be able to buy them brand new on CD (I bought them on cassette back in the day). NOW 11 has my favourite artwork from the whole series.

 

All about XIII and 14 for me!

 

Just realised this will mean I finally own Vanessa Paradis' Joe Le Taxi on CD!

Disc 2 is near flawless - only 2 Men A Drum Machine And A Trumpet let the side down.

 

NOW 11 is great, but once again such a shame there are missing tracks. I don't need it as I eventually found a used copy for about £5, and I won't be buying it. The only one left that I really need is 14...wonder what could be missing from that.

 

The missing tracks are a shame but luckily in this instance it was two of the few songs from NOW 11 that I don't like.

I'd been waiting for this announcement for a while now, I wonder how far they will go with these reissues? I'd probably buy them all through the 90s as I fell away from the NOW brand at the time when I discovered CD singles...

 

NOW 11 is my fave. Might have to get this.
