Just to let you all know NOW 1980 Extra Cliff Richard Carrie is not the 1980 hit version but a re-recording.
I don't think so. Unless the single version was re-recorded. I think (from memory) the Carrie on that compilation is from 1982 or later.
There's scope for an Extra Plus 2CD addendum to the 1980 Yearbook & Extra releases. Here's what you could have won.....
Must be the version from this compilation in 1992. https://www.discogs.com/release/334...fe-A-Selection-Of-14-Great-Songs-1992-Version

Nice to see the 90s get some love from NOW. Looks a good set with a few lesser compiled songs like Cathy Dennis' Everybody Move and Captain Hollywood Project's More and More plus not available on streaming remixes like Sister Sledge's Lost In Music (Sure Is Pure Remix Edit) and Heaven 17's Temptation (Brothers In Rhythm Remix Edit). Of course I've just bought the latter two CD singles off Discogs in the last few months!
1979 Yearbook Extra due on 21 October Life In Tokyo already appeared on 1982 Extra (the Steve Nye mix which was a hit) I presume the original version will be on 1979 Extra but really, there's no need.
Hurrah! So glad they have gone back to the 80s. Not much unusual here but the Yearbook Extra should be interesting.
1985 is an underrated year, I think. I preferred 1983 and 1984 at the time (and even 1987), but these days I'd maybe choose 1985.
I know to expect omissions on these, but no Wham! is a bit odd - was expecting at least I'm Your Man, if not Everything She Wants (Remix) as well, as they were on the earlier years.
