That's the one
Thank you. I bought the single in 1984. Preferred it to Lionel’s version. Surprised the LP never got a CD reissue, but it was an obscure label I think.

Yeah, I noticed that so ordered one from HMV. It's got the 7" of The Motive on it, so I don't want to miss out.Now Yearbook Extra '87 has been unavailable on Amazon for a week or so. I can't believe it's OOP but might be worth picking up if you haven't got it yet.
And we're leaping all the way to 1998!
It was a #1.I'm surprised Brimful Of Aisha isn't on CD1, isn't it quite a big hit?
The Culture Club and UB40 songs were both top 10 hits here and both on CD 1 of Now 41 at the time. The Gloria Estefan song peaked at 17 though, not one I'd have chosen tbh. These tracklists always make me wonder (the regular Now's sometimes do but these 'essential' ones even more) whether inclusions like the Gloria/UB40/Culture Club songs feel as out of place to UK people as they do to me.
Like: are they just there because of the artist names or did they genuinely make more of an impact than they did over here? To me disc 1 and 4 are basically classic after classic with then those few random dips.
(Also Catatonia/The Beautiful South/Adam Garcia but with these I can sorta guess 'it's a UK thing')
Culture Club did relatively well, I remember hearing it a lot at the time and the music video was always on the music channels. These tracklists always make me wonder (the regular Now's sometimes do but these 'essential' ones even more) whether inclusions like the Gloria/UB40/Culture Club songs feel as out of place to UK people as they do to me.
