Hello and welcome to the One Hundred And Forty-Eighth edition of the PopJustice Song Contest here on PopJustice.com.
In celebration of the end of a gold medal drought with the help of Deane, I Old Untouchable Ace am here to bring host our contest.
Did you know it's been approximately 140 rounds since the last themed round?
Did you also not know that it's been 5 years since I hosted the male vocal round of PJRetro?
How about a refresher on that, and a sequel?

Welcome to the 57th edition of the song contest PJRetro (né PJOPS).
I am your host for this era because as always, thank you for the unexpected win.
For this win I must formally thank the members of Dazzle / Delage / Eden that helped me achieve my 3rd win across 3 competitions.
So thank you Rhonda, Karena, Frances & Emma.
(Even though they weren't involved with 'Running Back For More' also to Charlotte and
Judy.)

Round 56 of the contest was a special one that celebrated all that is underrated in the world.
This round will celebrate some that are really only underrated on this forum.
Men.
This round's is a male vocals.
However, you can submit an entry in to the contest that does have female vocals, but it must include some lines within it sung by a male.
An example of an acceptable female and male vocal song, that is also really good.

Between the opening of this contest and the conclusion of voting I would also like you to send in a male vocal song or album that is special to you so much so that you want the forum to hear it.
This side theme music must also have been released before December 31st 1999.
So please start a PM with me and send me your music.

You submit a song, the veto panel reviews your submission, and you’ll hear back if you’ve successfully passed.
Once the song list is revealed, you listen to all of the other entries and put together a Eurovision-style ballot ranking the 10 songs you think most deserve recognition with point values as follows:
12 points (your favourite song other than your own goes here.)
10 points
8 points
7 points
6 points
5 points
4 points
3 points
2 points
1 point (your 10th favourite song goes here.)
You cannot vote for your own entry, you don’t know who submitted the other songs, and only those who have entered a song may submit a ballot. Contestants who enter a song but don’t vote have their points total halved as a consequence.

The song you have chosen should be submitted by the provided google sheet, your song will then be judged by the veto panel. If it scores 3 Yes votes it will go through to the main contest, if you are vetoed you will need to resubmit an entry, you must do this via google sheets and PM the host to let them know that you have sent another song.
To check if your song has been entered before, please use the PJSC Song List.
Things to consider a veto:
Artists that have:
- Previously won a round of PJSC.
- Been entered in the prior 3 rounds.
- Other successful, well-known songs in the UK or US that would be vetoed.
- A thread of active discussion on Popjustice Forum (active discussion can be loosely defined at 10 pages within 6-18 months).
- A thread of high discussion on Popjustice Forum (high discussion can be
loosely defined at more than 20 pages).
Songs that have, as follows:
- Charted in the UK Top 40.
- Charted in the US Billboard Top 40.
- Been a part of the current Eurovision cycle, including national selections.
- Been triple submitted in the past three rounds.
- Been entered in any other official PopJustice Song Contest.
- Credited samples of songs that would be vetoed (including covers).
- Been taken from a top 10 album in the UK or US. (If the album in question charted for a singular week before leaving the chart, you may let the host
know for this to be reconsidered. This is your prerogative).
The following will also be considered, though this may not be an immediate veto:
- Artist was, or is, a member of a band that would be vetoed.
- Artist has charted outside of the UK or US top 40.
- Song is taken from a successful movie/TV show’s soundtrack or compilation album.
After the song list is revealed you have period of time where you are able to submit your votes, you should vote using the traditional Eurovision style points system (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) with the top marks going to your favourite, and 1 going to your 10th favourite, but remember you cannot vote for your own entry.

The song you have chosen should be submitted this google sheet.

I will find the Spotify links myself.
