The album's got me in a, khm, chokehold, of course. She carries herself with confidence, sophistication and there is a wonderful heartfelt streak that balances out the cool. I need Blade Bird to be real so I can exchange my Lvl. 99 Red Chocobo for it and ride to school on its wings.
I'll also drop a hot take in this pink nest of snakes and say that the way she approaches liminal clubbing experiences is a lot more... eusexual than FKA's attempt at it.

I’m in a period of figuring out how my brain works the way it does, and for some reason this album felt like a brain massage. It was like perfectly engineered for the rhythm of my brain at this moment. Scatterbrained of course. What a beautiful and refreshing album. It changed my whole mood and everything.
Oklou makes music appropriate for any situation. It grooves to get you bumping, but it’s laidback enough you can listen even when you’re not really in full-on dance mood.
