Older albums you're loving today.

Curious which tracks you struggle with. Very was my last favourite Pet Shop Boys album.

Mostly the non-singles...although Dreaming of the Queen was always a favourite. To Speak Is A Sin is good, but the majority of the album just isn't my kind of sound...I get what they were aiming for and I think they succeeded (the chart stats don't lie) but my PSB was the pre-1992 version.

It says a lot that I enjoyed (re)reading the Further Listening booklet more than the actual album. Some of the B-sides/out-takes from that era (on the bonus disc) are more my thing. Some Speculation, Shameless, Too Many People....

I used to love The Theatre but I find it a bit of a chore to get through nowadays but I do like the lyrics.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM.

Timberline is my favourite at the moment:

To that place I will go
Where the wildwood flowers grow
With a ribbon in my hair and a gown of calico
To those Shenandoah Hills
I'll go back I swear I will
To the sweetest kiss my lips will ever know

And when I rise from the timberline
And call your name, will you remember mine?
And the sweetest kiss will be the tie that binds
Like the wild, wild rose and the columbine

I mean, Emmylou could make me cry singing about taking the bins out, but still.

Pure 90s pop gold. About 6 or 7 of the 10 tracks were singles in some form.

This is the version I now have on CD, with the black sleeve. I think it's the original, and the white cover with PC in the suit was the re-issue? I used to have that...I may even have kept it when I found the other edition.

D:Ream On Vol.1 really needs a deluxe. Hmmm, I wonder....

Top Of The Pops thread got me playing this iconic LP!

The album having different artwork for every country and yet THAT being the streaming album cover...
Anyways the album is solid? Should've bought it back then instead of just bopping to the singles.
