One Direction - FOUR

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

The song is pleasant but the album cover is horrendous, and what the fuck is with that hat Harry's wearing?

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

The production isn't great yeah. But vocally it's excellent (bar Louis) and I'm excited to hear the actual lead single.

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

Is that really the album cover and title? I assumed it was just a placeholder. The new song is nice, but it sounds like a leftover from their previous LP. I hope they picked this song to showcase the album first because the lead single is different and polarizing. Now that would be amazing.

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

The idea of them putting this out because they're about to drop their "Sexy! No No No..." on us is hilarious.

Kudos to the vocal production on this. Even Louis sounds decent.

Just gave this a listen and it's fully amazing. The song is so mellow and gorgeous. The 'it's been so long' parts remind me of Strong.

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

They out insta-tumblr-hipstered Taylor Swift with that album cover. Kings.

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

That cover beats The Saturdays' Living For The Weekend as the shitiest album artwork ever. The title is also so uninspired. But at least the free download is good!

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

They must be so cheap to run. No styling, no extensive shoots with famous photographers. Literally them showing up in last night's clothes and a Polaroid later, and you have the cover of an inevitably multi-platinum album that will most likely outsell everything in 2014.

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

Fireproof is an extremely good song. I love how their voices sound but I wish there were more Liam in it.

I wonder why they opted for this pre-release / comeback strategy.

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

Wow, I've never liked a One Direction song so much on first listen. Is anyone else getting Fleetwood Mac vibes?

Re: One Direction - 4th Studio Album

Each of their albums thus far have been lead with an uptempo and a mid-tempo/ballad and, given that we've usually got that first uptempo around August time and things are getting on abit for that big Christmas sales push, I wouldn't bet against this filling their mid-tempo quota and them leading into this album with just one main single (and no doubt a couple of promo singles ala 'Midnight Memories', 'Diana'). Christ knows, they're big enough at this point to do it.
