Bros was cute. It tries to cram too much into two hours but I definitely loved seeing a love story about two men in the rom-com stream.

The supporting characters are paper thin and there is a late hookup in the film that I actually wish they made a film about.

I just came out of The Fabelmans.

Michelle Williams IS getting that Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

But Paul Dano is also worthy. He is the quiet heart of the film.

I think he and Kushner started on the screenplay literally months after his dad died. One last daddy issues film to help him grieve.

Had my first TIFF premiere experience, didn’t I girlies.


Pearl is really good! X was super fun, and it matches, and maybe somewhat betters that entertainment level. It’s basically a John Waters-esq, camp character study, and I had a blast.

It’ll never happen because of genre and the movie just not being prestige enough, but Mia Goth should be in consideration for Best Actress in a just world. She puts in so much work in both films, and it’s a delight to watch.
