Marie Antoinette, Somewhere and The Bling Ring are all masterpieces.
I didn’t care for The Beguiled (Team Clint Eastwood and Geraldine Page for that one).

Past Lives finally opens here Friday. Can’t wait to sink into a hole of melancholic depression!!!!
The way it's easily the best thing I've seen all year, and left me walking around town for an hour afterward, alone, sobbing. I pray to every piece of energy that Greta Lee isn't ignored this season as she is absolutely excellent in this.
Cannot stress enough how everyone should seek film this film out as soon as humanly possible. A defining romance of our time.

Passages, Poor Things, Past Lives and Challengers all coming out within two weeks of each other though... we're eating.
Not sure if any of these will be Oscar contenders, but this year is looking very interesting for film in general! Finally!
Oh, Asteroid City was kinda a miss for me. Looked stunning as ever but the plot was barely there. And it got a bit ridiculous with all the cameos and the bloated cast, it felt like everyone was there for like 2 seconds. A shame, because I had pretty much the same issues with The French Dispatch. On paper Wes does sci-fi should be a 10/10 banger.
