It should do. It's one of my favourites of the year (along with Renate and Agathe Rousselle). Never got round to Passing. So many of these Netflix films that I know are just there stay lower on my to-watch priorities. Then I think it left.Will Penelope dethrone any of the above!?
I think it touched people that were mostly touched by grief (not to speculate for you personally). I was moved by the diner scene at the end where they met saying a proper goodbye. Also Andrew has these eyes where he looks like he's about to cry at any minute - its effective.I must be dead inside because I finally watched All Of Us Strangers and thought it was very well made and acted but not a single tear escaped my eyes?
Not a criticism of anyone for not enjoying Poor Things, but 90% of that review is criticising the film for not doing things it’s not even trying to do.I wasn't the biggest fan of Poor Things. Angelica Jade Bastién's review pretty much summed up how I felt. Liked Yorgos's previous stuff though, this one just didn't cut it for me.
