Predictions seem to be settling on Zoe, Ariana, Isabella and Felicity with the fifth slot somewhat open, but I don't see Jamie taking it.
Angelina needs the win tonight. If she manages an Oscar nom, I actually think it sets her up for the win, oddly enough.
I do think most people are somehow dismissing Mikey over and over even though she’s sweeping so many regionals and society awards. She’s not my favorite in this mix, but if she were just about anyone else, she’d be the clear favorite.

I have now decided Demi has a chance to win so I am throwing my completely unimportant support behind her.

Maria is the weakest of Pablo’s triptych but Angelina is incredible in it, easily one of the best performances of the year.
Wow. I've seen a lot of acceptance speeches but I don't think I've seen one this raw and human.
I don’t think anyone is dismissing Mikey. She been the overall front runner since Anora hit Cannes and she has won the majority of the critics awards. She’s great in the movie but we all have different preferences. Mikey would be my third choice after Demi and Marianne. Mikey is young and will have plenty of other chances if she doesn’t win. As these iconic female actresses get older, those chances dim much quicker. In the end of it all, these awards are meaningless overall but we still hope our faves get the recognition they deserve for the work they do.
I do have to chuckle how year after year, the male actors races are always sewn up so quickly but the female races are always nailbiters to the finish line. Hollywood needs to take further notes, women are doing the real work on screen.
I don't think people are dismissing her per se - but around Globes time is when we see if the critics and festivals actually matter. A film can win regional awards and critics groups across the board, and still blank at the televised awards.
Anora, The Brutalist, and Emilia Perez are those films this year.

I’m still worried about Emilia Pérez smashing. Maybe not best picture, but with the sweep at the European Film Awards, there’s definitely industry support.

So its the Globes tonight? I never know the dates of these things.
Hoping for Sebastian to win one of his categories but I think he has next to no chance realistically. Still, the double nom is likely win enough for him. He's really done the work in the past few years to pick projects that really show people how great he really is and using his Marvel fame to nab juicy roles.

They probably don't talk anymore but can Scooter use his usual dark magicks to secure the Globe for Ariana and kick off a sweep for her? For old times' sake.
