Perfume

My only other thought is that Flow works well as an album track and never should have been a single. It sits well between Mawaru Kagami and MugenLoop adding some balance, but still to me just feels rather bland on its own.

Okay, I gave this a spin hehe and it's a good album, although I still can't get over the fact that some Japanese albums only get a handful of new tracks. It's kinda an overkill to have only 2 album tracks that weren't available prior to the release. And I also can't help but feel somewhat less excited about and album when this happens. Still solid though.

Honestly from the late 00s onwards I made a conscious decision to only listen to singles and b-sides once or twice before albums come out, so it’s more of a surprise! Not really got a choice with situations like this nn.

Same here. I knew Hikki was going to do it with her latest album so I think I had only listened to PINK BLOOD, One Last Kiss, and the rest of the singles like 2 times total. Same with this album. Time Warp was on repeat for a while, but I think I only listened to Flow and Polygon Wave like 1 time each. Same with the rest of the EP. Holding back like that isn't easy, but it definitely makes for a more satisfying listen when the album finally comes around.

Well, yeah, that could work, only that both Perfume and Hikki are among my all time favorite artists, so skipping their releases isn't really an option.

Crikey, it's a while since the last post on here...

In case you all didn't know, they're playing Shepherd's Bush Empire on 3rd June. Fan Club tickets went on sale this morning, remaining tickets are on general sale Friday morning.

Ugh how did I not know this!! I saw them last time they played Shepherds Bush (you can even spit me in the DVD if you have a magnifying glass and know where to look!).

Hopefully can grab a ticket in the general sale!!

Fingers crossed! There did seem to be some left after this morning's sale. I'm hoping they add a second night if it sells out.

I’ve got a wedding on the day of the London gig so I can’t go. Gutted! Hopefully they don’t leave it so long this time, and how about a Manchester show!

I’m so jealous. I was at a wedding so couldn’t go… hope they don’t leave it as long this time.

Edit - just realised you said they did Edge. Kill me now.

The crowd really was into it.
My friend went to the bar just before the show started, and the bar staff member asked, 'have they started yet, the crowd is really rowdy'.

A few people seem to have put the whole thing up on YouTube. There is a moment in Chocolate Disco where Nocchi starts to run to the wrong podium, corrects herself and the crowd roars!

I'm thrilled that the Perfume team seems to have finally figured out how to craft a killer setlist with an actual sense of pacing. Both Primavera and London have been light years better than their recent tour sets imo!
