Perrie - "You Go Your Way" + Debut Album

Any pretence of this being a ~personal project just trying to find my sound~ went out the window when 2 out of 3 songs ended up being nothing to do with her – but honestly I do think pivoting to the Ella/Becky-print would be best for her if they're starting to flail around a bit.

Throw enough cheap dance bop collabs out onto streaming and you'd be extremely unlucky to not have at least one smash, particularly given her existing profile and how good she is doing stuff like radio promo.

I think it might not be 'personal personal' but possibly a case of her just recording whatever songs she liked. Which just happens to be a bit more generic than Jade and Leigh's choices.

I mean.. they can be past experiences.

I mean they can but from a general public point of view who may only know Perrie from dating that one from One Direction, it could look abit Taylor Swift (again not knowing she’s not writing this stuff). I mean Forget About Us really does read as a sign off to Zayn and is a little pointed. I was surprised to see she doesn’t have a writing credit on it.

This is a major improvement from Tears, but for all the talk about how she's giving us vocals, the vocals at the end aren't actually doing much for me. The ad-libs are too much and make the song busier than it should be.

The song is just ok (ok, ok) which is still baffling me. Little Mix is one of my all-time favorite groups and Perrie has by far my favorite voice of the three yet her music just isn’t quite doing it for me just yet.
