I watched Yesterday When I Was Mad and it’s got a very strange ratio crop and the colouring is off too.Yes, it's pretty certain that's what the content will be. To be honest, massively disappointing, since the upscales are pretty mid so far, and in places worse than the DVD rip. I'll probably get the five-disc edition, begrudgingly, since the 3CD won't have the booklet.
I'll wait for the expanded reissue of Catalogue.B-but the booklet!!!!
The main problem with Madonna Celebration DVD is that they deciced to save costs by shrinking all the content into two single-layer DVDs.If the quality on YouTube is anything to go by on most of the videos, the original DVD versions may be the best available versions.
I don´t know how, in this day and age, remasters keep looking worse then what was originally available. I remember being extremely disappointed in Madonna´s Celebration DVD, where a lot of the videos actually looked much worse then her previous video collections.
I just assumed it’s because the Brits were usually on ITV instead of the BBC, but I’m not too sure.Has been a great evening. One oddity is how they never use Brits performances for "at the BBC" compilations, but they did use the performance with Dusty Springfield at the Brits 1988 for Reel Stories.
