Pink: The Discography Rate ∞ WINNER!

My two lowest remaining scores are 6,75 for...
..."Dear Mr. President" and "God Is a DJ".

It's so weird to see "Runaway" being called, even by @Music Is Life.
It's one of the best album tracks from "I'm Not Dead" and I thought it was one of the fan favorites, too.
Two of my 10s.
And I still gave it a 9 or 9.5.
Glad Nobody Knows us gone. And I don't think I had it on my list but not upset about Barbies either.
I'll be pissed if God Is A DJ goes, please let that hint mean Get The Party Started.

Also, just so y'all know - some more Can We Pretend remixes are out there, by Chris Cox and Cristian Poow.

Someday I'm gonna die but it
Won't be from boredom
If you've got the skills then I suggest
That you throw down
Meet us at the spot 'cause it's
Gonna be a showdown
Naw, you can't ride the bus
Man you better cool down

Released as the first promotional single of the album, 'Humble Neighborhoods' tackles P!nk's burgeoning career with perfect humility, owning all the crazy shit that she's now able to do because of it. I can't be too mad at it leaving because it's one of my lowest remaining scores, but it really is a statement piece on the album that pops all the way off. Someday I'm gonna die but it won't be from boredom she commands, and rightfully so considering she's still touring the world and breaking records 15 years after the songs release.

Could have definitely been a single but it's also, at this point, definitely P!nk at her noisiest so far. For me it kind of precedes 'So What' with its sheer level of attitude, and the production just hits the ground running.

Commentary corner:

@Verandi: (10) What a banger. What a song. Imagine this as the lead single. Imagine.

@rick: (10) One of the few truly high points of Try This

@Sail On: (10) Girls Aloud would have aced a song like this.

@Maki: (10) WE DON'T WANNA GO HOME!' Tell 'em, P!nk! Such an anthem! This could've been an amazing single pick. The guitar solo is so necessary and sounds so good. I couldn't help myself, just bumped its score from 9,75 to a 10!

@Music Is Life: (9.5) What a – I’m not sure what the right word is. I feel like it’s kicking, but that seems dorky. You know what? I don’t care. This is a kicking song. I love the production, especially the guitar work, and the “Weeeee don’t wanna go home” chants honestly elevate the song. The near-rapid fire verses are great, and the chorus just ties everything together. Another potential single on this album.

@Sprockrooster: (9) A bit of Arcade Fire isn't it?

@R27: (8) P!nk strikes me as the kind of person who always hypes up how “bad” she is without actually being all that bad or dangerous. Thus, she never fully sells me on these kind of songs, but they can still be pretty fun when she doesn't come off like she's taking herself too seriously. Thankfully, this is one of these times; plus the production on the chorus is pretty cool and the sentiment of not wanting to go home on a night out is pretty relatable.

@abael: (6) I enjoy this on a surface level, but is hollow and forgettable in retrospect.

@savilizabeths: (6) “I feel like I should like this more than I do but it’s just not a favourite of mine. Some of the lyrics feel clunky and like a draft. It’s fun though.”

First of all, let's cherish this rare sighting:
Highest score: 10x5
(@Verandi, @Maki)

And of course it had to be one of my 10's... Even though it's one of my favorites from "Try This," it is also the only song where I bumped its score to full marks, making it my 'weakest' 10 of this rate, so I can't be too mad about it. But "Humble Neighbourhoods" is an anthem.
Honestly, I thought it would last until top 30. It deserved better, that's for sure.

Coming up: Literally just bangers.
There are at least five remaining songs that got a 10 from me that you can call 'bangers', among others which are mostly great, so hopefully it's not one of them.
I'm afraid that "Boring" had run its course, unfortunately (even though it's not one of my 10's).
Secretly hoping that "God Is a DJ" and "Raise Your Glass" are those 'bangers' that are leaving.

First of all if you have the time and you haven't done so already, watch the live performance of 'Secrets' attached below. Seeing it live before rating would have rocketed the score up because it's the real pinnacle of her live performance so far, in my mind, and the talent on display is just astounding. At times dangling by nothing but a pair of thighs, it showcases the intimacy that the acrobatic art form can bring and the song soars because of it.

'Secrets' is a pretty big outlier on the album, and pretty much for her whole discography (sounding closest to I'm Not Dead), with its open embrace of a more electronic-pop sound. The everybody's got a secret and ra da da da do da do hooks are pretty fantastic.

Commentary corner:

@JMRGBY88: (10) a much needed bop on this album and a discography highlight.

@Sprockrooster: (10) So infectiously delicious. It sounds very similar to many songs on Hilary Duff's Breathe In, Breathe Out and that is a very good thing!

@Maki: (9.5) This is so fun, and dancey, one of my favorites from the album, but it's not a 10. You don't get a house inspired song from her often. It almost reminds me of the "Funhouse" era with all the 'da, da, da' parts. P!nk said that this is Willow's favorite song from the album, which isn't surprising at all, given that it's catchy as hell. Also, it’s the only song from “Beautiful Trauma” that remains upbeat throughout.

@Music Is Life: (9) This is such a BOP. I always wanna dance to this. I love the production, but I actually really like the lyrics too. It’s true, everyone does always have a secret, and sometimes it can be terrifying to tell the truth. The music video is fun.

@rick: (8) Ah yes this one. Everyone wanted more ‘poppy Pink’. Well this is what you asked for. I like it though.

@abael: (6) They were really aiming for that C grade when it came to some of these album tracks.

@R27: (6) It's fine, but I feel like it's a bit overrated. The daddadas feel a little overdone by this point.

@savilizabeths: (4) “With this song I feel like Beautiful Trauma starts to fall off. It feels like it’s trying to be engaging and interesting but it really fails. The production is pretty nice though.”

Another great uptempo song leaving... One of the clear standouts from "Beautiful Trauma", I loved "Secrets" from the very first listen - for sure a unique song in her discography. Why a 6, @Lost Boy?
I didn't give it a 10, simply because it still sounds too 'sterile' for me, but it remains an amazing song.
And, yes, that live performance is brilliant.
It's surprising to see it out at this point, considering it received nine 10's! Still, it's underrated.

Well this is just the beginning.
I love "Split Personality"!

Yeah, a few more points would have bumped it into the top 40. It just took a long time to come round to me, I didn't really like the official video either. It kind of took until I saw her perform it to appreciate it more.
