Pink - TRUSTFALL

She really should pull a Beyoncé and convince the general public that some of her less successful ‘hits’ were actually global smashes… There’s a lot of filler here and it’s mainly because of the new album.
This is why I’m not going to this tour, I’ve been to the previous 4 and the last one just felt like a regurgitation of the last and I just didn’t enjoy it as much. This tour already looks similar to the previous in terms of setlist, opening etc. The opening is identical to Funhouse Tour. The last song has been the same with the exact same thing happening with the trusses for the past 3 tours. I know I sound ungrateful but I just would like something different.

I remember going to the toilet after the concert on the last tour and someone was like, isn’t this the best thing you’ve ever seen and my reply was, as awful as this sounds I’ve seen it before so not really.

I went tonight and I have to say, she is a truly fantastic performer and she’s so charismatic too.

BUT.

There’s only so many times I can go and see the same show. It’s the same songs, practically the same order, the same stuff all the time. If I have to hear Just Give Me A Reason or Just Like Fire again, I’ll vomit. ALSO, since when has I Am Here become a new staple for her?

Imagine if she brought out any of the following:
- Don’t Let Me Get Me
- Most Girls
- Leave Me Alone
- U + UR Hand
- God Is A DJ
- Stupid Girls
- There You Go
- Feel Good Time

Adding a couple of those into the set again would give it such a lift and a boost. I genuinely don’t get her reluctance to do any of those. Even do a medley of them! Anything to break up the mass of ballads in a row. I chose to have a toilet break during that First Aid Kit song because it’s just so dull.

On a positive note again though, highlights for me were Irrelevant, Trustfall (which hopefully becomes a staple), Runaway and - considering how much I don’t usually care for it - the new remix of What About Us.

I've only read the last few pages, and I am not much of a P!nk fan, but I am shocked that she very rarely does Leave Me Alone I'm Lonely live, but especially U + Ur Hand - that would absolutely go off!

U + UR Hand and Leave Me Alone can stay in that pile (for me, personally) as I've seen them countless times already

The rest would be a very welcome return to the setlist though.
I'd also love to hear Last To Know and Hate Me - the latter especially, considering it was instant for everyone when the album came out

Also, I would pay good money to see that same version of So What removed forever from the setlist. She has done the same performance for it for 13 years now. There's no denying she loves it but switch it up.

I don't think it's the most imaginative setlist ever, but I also don't think most of the people attending really care. She gives her all 100% of the time and you can't really ask for much more than that.

Although it is a shame Hate Me didn't make the setlist.

Nice to see 'Please Don't Leave Me' back in the setlist. I agree it would be nice to rotate a few other old ones as this is the first tour that feels like it lacks an identity compared to the others. From 'I'm Not Dead' through to 'The Truth About Love', she was good at swapping out some of the mid-tier hits (which peaked with that amazing and unexpected medley of first album singles in 2013/2014).

The middle section could be a slog with 10 midtempos/ballads in a row. Still, she's chosen the right songs from 'Trustfall' to perform and having those in the mix will freshen the show up. At the end of the day, you know what you're paying for with P!nk and she always delivers.

Wait what?
Yeah, The Truth About Love tour in Berlin, a girl apparently complained that 'two Muslim guys (we're greek so christian by default lol), who do not look like P!nk fans (??) were praying to Allah (we were just squatting / resting! lol) and had a suspicious black bag with them (it was literally this merch bag I had just bought but with the print not showing as my husband held it while I went for beers).

Luckily police were super nice and apologetic when they realised what was happening mid gig and took us to stand at the front with P!nk's family / team for the rest of the concert after I complained. Okay my beard was longish but I was wearing a P!nk t-shirt I'd just bought too! And the crowd was actually full of people much older than us, so it wasn't a case of sticking out at a Little Mix concert.

Gretel really snapped that day with her detective skills!
