Steven's takes:

You Win: Extremely weird comment but her vocals on this remind me of Bette Midler?

What's Love Got To Do With It: A true cover in that it doesn't emulate the original but brings something new to it. Still, it sucks all the emotion from the song.

Angel: A big record scratch collab for her. They actually performed this LIVE! This has a nice chorus but it's so ODD.

Best Day of My Life: I actually prefer this to the original because her vocal is better and the fun little plunky beat is more enjoyable.

Moon River: This sounds so strongly like the Lon Lon Ranch theme from Ocarina of Time at the outset. This is a very fine cover, a chill mood and I will occasionally willingly listen to this.

When Love Takes Over: Once again, it's a fine cover, but what is this doing here? The second half gives this a slight edge over the prior song (Use Somebody).

Dancing On My Own: "Wronger"

Can you believe the self-titled album is the only section that didn't lose a track so far?

And we'll keep it like that for now

The closing track of the standard version of Turn It Up was written by Lott herself and Ryan Laubscher, known for his work with Dido.

It was never performed live, so no video this time.

Another one, shall we?

I Got Love for Xmas
Average: 6.129

I Got Love for Xmas was the second previously unreleased track to be included in the compilation Pixie Platinum: Hits, together with Caravan of Love.

Releasing an album in late November (of 2014) with an Xmas appeal? Shocker!

With that, the Greatest Hits section, with only two tracks, it's the first to be decimated.

When Love Takes Over - 7.5. A bit pointless but still enjoyable and Pixie does a good job with the vocals.
The original is a 10.

Dancing On My Own - 4. I don't like the male vocals and the chorus is boring.

Hold Me In Your Arms - 6. The backing track is alright but I'm not keen on the lyrics.

I Got Love For Xmas - 6. Not a huge fan of Christmas songs and the lyrics are a bit mushy for me.

When her management said Pixie was revamping her image is this what they meant?

Wild Heart (The Vamps feat. Pixie Lott)
Average: 6.186

Max: 9.4 (@Untouchable Ace) 8.2 (@pop3blow2)

Wild Heart is in the debut album of british pop band The Vamps, Meet the Vamps, from 2014.

The version with Pixie was included in the iTunes download of the single. Considering both Vamps and Pixie are signed to Mercury Records, it's easy to see they were doing an effort of joining fan bases here.

The Vamps retributed the "favor" by recording a version of the single Nasty with her, that was also included in the iTunes download and for some reason in the Japanese edition of Pixie Lott self-titled album.

Yeah, I know Young Foolish Happy was way too long

So if you got to this track without skipping any, congrats!

Paper Planes
Average: 6.200

Max: 8.8 (@pop3blow2) 8.5 (@MilesAngel)

Co-written and produced by Biff Stannard, aka the genious behind many of the Spice Girls hits, Paper Planes is the closing song of Young Foolish Happy (Deluxe Edition).

I guess the track was never performed live, couldn't find a single video!

We'll see later that Stannard had a touch in another Pixie song, much better imo!

So now, 3 fallen from Young Foolish happy and 3 from the Turn It Up era. Self-titled album remains safe! But until when?

Everybody Hurts Sometimes
Average: 6.214

This is a slow one, from the first half of Young Foolish Happy, that now becomes the album with the most casualties. And not me finally losing a high score!

The song was written with James Bourne (guitarist, keyboardist and co-vocalist from the band Busted). That's it!

We don't have a #62, 'cause there's a tie at #61, so I might just post both tracks in one post next. Oh, and we're losing the first 10!

You know what, from the songs eliminated so far I low-key like Everybody Hurts and Hold Me In Your Arms and actually listened to them quite a lot.

I didn't care much about this one tho, only remembered about that when listening to score it.

Pixie Lott the album takes the first hit and since the beggining I thought it would start with this one.

The track starts with Pixie singing acapella and gradually comes the piano and the base. It was written with Charlie-Ann Lott, Pixie's big sister.

The Lotts never were really open about their personal lives, but judging by the lyrics, it seems to be about someone they lost:
I cry and smile
'Cause you're looking down here with your
Heart of gold
And in the silence, you'll be resting your soul

Young Foolish Happy carnage continues (as it should dddd).

Black as Rain was included in the Deluxe version of the album and it's co-written and produced by Mads Hauge (who had worked with Pixie many times) and Phil Thornalley (his most famous work is Torn, yeah the TORN, made famous by Natalie Imbruglia, which he also produced).

The only loss I'm expecting early on is The Girl You Left Behind, which is amazing and in my album's Top3 but that somehow got relegated to the Japanese version only. Dumb!
