No her voice was borderline shot during the self-titled era. I just don’t think she took proper care of it and was singing out of her range.

The singles weren't for me and after listening to the album, I actually prefer the second half.

Just walked past Resident record store in Brighton on way to pub and she was there doing some songs. They let me in for free so long as I didn't leave before the end, but it was pretty full. She was v effervescent and really charming to the crowd but the new tracks did sound a bit dull.. one called Happy, I remember. Some drunk guy wandered in during her set with a "No dogs on Brighton beach" placard but she dealt with it v well.

The Amazon mess up must sting but I’m glad she got the album out and seems to really enjoy the music she’s making without the added major label pressure.
