And the other notable girls to not make it to the song charts top 40 are Perrie, SZA, Halle, Selena Gomez (and Gracie Abrams I guess). Louise was there too for the comeback corner crew.

So I was right hehe. I did think of Louise too, but she's hardly huge in the forum. Not quite ballot worthy for me, but Confession is nice, definitely deserved to make the top 40.

In the least surprising turn of events, Lady Gaga takes the #1 spot of February monthly charts with her bombastic hit "Abracadabra". The utter domination it had - nearly double the amount of points compared to #2 song and being in the lead throughout the voting period. There wasn't even the tiniest doubt this one had it in the bag. And it's an undeniable dance bop, the production is on another level, the signature stuttery hook, Gaga devouring everything with her vocal performance, that operatic middle-8 being a total serve. The whole single package is one of her most effective ones in a while and no wonder the forum is stanning it so much. Then again, I wouldn't agree it's on par with her ultimate masterpieces. As for the "MAYHEM" album... we'll talk about it next time but I know I will be supporting a few songs from it. And we'll see if Gaga manages to get another song into the charts rate next month, maybe even another #1.

Glad to see I wasn't alone with these.

Let’s clear my name too, Tate got nothing from me fff

You voting for a random Tate McRae album track did seem extremely unlikely dd.

Also, a shame nobody else voted for the Jenny Wilson EP, it's very good.

I have to say this top 5 turned out kind of underwhelming for me, I'm pretty sure I'll only be voting for two of these songs come to the charts rate, but oh well. Thanks for hosting @Maki! Really looking forward to the March charts, those are going to be an absolute bloodbath. As I said in the hosts group PM, I'm both sad and glad it won't be me hosting them dd

Busy Woman - Sabrina Carpenter

@Petty Mayonnaise @savilizabeths (9)
@Rogue (8)

I imagine @soratami is surprised by this one but yes, Sabrina just misses out on a top 10 with a new track from the deluxe edition of her album "Short n' Sweet". Wasn't too sure if it was a single but looks like "Busy Woman" did get such treatment in some regions but no music video. This is actually surprisingly cute, I can totally get the appeal. Still not exactly inspired enough to listen to the album.

My whole top ten charted so I can't really complain, but I wish I'd known people were voting for "Busy Woman"! I love it but I cut it at the last minute because I didn't see anyone else talking about it. It's so catchy.

And I'm still kinda shook that Hélène Sio charted so high - thank you @Aester, @berserkboi and @Trouble in Paradise for the support! You know a song is good when it got a decent voting block even without me having to resort to sharing my NSWF stuff in return for points jk ddd
Thank you for sharing it! These charts are so helpful for me finding new music, especially songs that aren't sung in English.

As much as I love Kylie, she has to start saying "no" to some partnerships. I imagine she's too much of a dear to say it, or is contractually obliged to do this generic stuff nn.
I adore Kylie and almost always vote for her, but yeah, I just couldn't do it this time. I don't totally hate this collaboration, but it feels so throwaway. She deserved a better song from Alok.

I will also say, I initially didn't care for "Butterfly" due to the chorus, but it really grew on me. In a slower month, I probably would have voted for it. I'm happy Debbii made the top five, though.

No idea how it happened but the voters for "Signs" by Tate McRae have been amended (it got 9 points from @GimmeWork and 1 point from @Aester).

Finally, here are the three albums which received 10 points from one voter and nothing else:

BINIverse - BINI (@Empty Shoebox)
Breath and Air - Heather Nova (@Sprockrooster)
Flowering - Gyubin (@savilizabeths)

And the two songs which had the same fate:

Like What You See - Noa Kirel (@Million_Lights)
Zero Pressure - BINI (@Empty Shoebox)

Shame that Halle failed to chart with her song, it's lovely and among the ones I considered voting for but it felt a smidge too short. Kylie was also on my longlist but that instrumental hook sounded too similar to the 'shooting stars' meme which was a bit off-putting.

Some notable names who haven't charted at all in the song charts are the new Melanie C collab with Anna Lunoe (5 points from @saviodxl), CHUNG HA/SUNMI (4 points from @CorgiCorgiCorgi), Elodie (9 points from @berserkboi), Vicco (3 points from @Million_Lights) and INNA/Sean Paul (4 points from @saviodxl).
Perrie only got 2 points from @saviodxl which was brutal, I thought the song sounded like breezy bop and a potential forum fave.

Just updated the opening post with the full album and song charts so we're officially done. Thank you so much to everyone who took part, see you next time!

I am curious what it will look like for @boom bazooka joe to host what appears to be an extremely busy month.
