trails of flowers - sierra ferrell
@happiestgirl (10) @Diet Pop! (9) @Trouble in Paradise (6)

And now a genre we hadn't seen in the charts yet this month: country! Trails of Flowers is the West Viriginia artist's fourth album, and, surprisingly, not the top country album of the month.

demonology - candi carpenter
@BubblegumBoy (10) @Phonetics Girl (10) @pop3blow2 (8) @CorgiCorgiCorgi (1)

Missing a spot in the top 10 by five points is the debut album by Ohio singer-songwriter Candi Carpenter, the first album so far to have received two voters' max points. It was a pain to find this artwork in decent quality/size let me tell you, especially given there's also an EP by the same artist with the same name.

real power - gossip
@Trouble in Paradise (8) @Rogue (7) @Aester (6) @daninternational (6) @Phonetics Girl (4) @Remorque (3)

The first entry in the top 10 is the sixth album by Beth Ditto's iconic rock band Gossip, their first in twelve(!) years. With so many March releases to go through, I ended up not managing to check this one yet, but I'm glad it made the top 10 regardless.

@Diet Pop! (10) @happiestgirl (9) @Oleander (8) @estfer (7) @klow (6) @melodrama (5) @ohnostalgia (3) @Trouble in Paradise (3)

The most surprising entry in the top 10 (to me at least) is the sixth album by Alabama folk artist Waxahatchee. This is the last album not to have received votes from at least ten people, so buckle up.

gothic summer - the veronicas
@Million_Lights (9) @daninternational (8) @Phonetics Girl (8) @BubblegumBoy (7) @Untouchable Ace (7) @unnameable (6) @soratami (4) @Aester (3) @saviodxl (3) @Maki (2) @Oleander (2)

With the most voters so far (eleven), at #8 we have the latest """album""" by iconic Australian twin sister duo The Veronicas. I say """album""" because it's literally eight songs/twenty minutes long, and even shorter if you ignore the acoustic version at the end. Still, quality over quantity I guess, and there's no denying it's an extremely solid release.

what will the neighbours say? (20th anniversary edition) - girls aloud

Surprisingly missing the top 5 (or maybe not that surprisingly given it was such a busy month), we have the twenty anniversary edition of the sophomore album by arguably the forum's #1 act ever. A brilliant repackage of a truly iconic album, featuring a ton of great b-sides, remixes and alternate versions, and, most importantly, three excellent never before heard songs, this is truly one of the best re-issues I've ever seen. And the fact that this isn't even GA's best album... I'm not ready for the next three anniversary editions.

las mujeres ya no lloran - shakira
@soratami (10) @Remorque (9) @saviodxl (9) @Aester (7) @devilpray (7) @Trouble in Paradise (7) @Oleander (6) @Rogue (5) @melodrama (4) @4Roses (3) @daninternational (2) @Empty Shoebox (2) @estfer (2)

Sadly missing a spot in the top 5 on account on having one less voter than the next album despite being having the same number of points (certain so-called members of team FL have a lot to answer for...), we have Shakira's long-awaited twelfth album (tenth if you don't count her first two teen pop albums, which a lot of people don't), her first in seven years. This album is basically the definition of smash smash smash smash smash, with half the tracklist being genuine huge hits, and the other half songs that sound like they could also be, so despite being quite sonically diverse, it totally works, even it kind of feels more like a greatest hits than a standard album, but, well, that's surely a good problem to have.

for your consideration - empress of
@CorgiCorgiCorgi (9) @Aester (8) @klow (7) @Oleander (7) @pop3blow2 (7) @happiestgirl (6) @Phonetics Girl (6) @4Roses (4) @BubblegumBoy (4) @Dangerous Maknae (4) @Trouble in Paradise (4) @Rogue (3) @Sail On (3) @Sail On (1)

Beating Shakira due to having one more voter (fourteen vs thirteen), the first entry in the top 5 is Empress Of's fourth album, with the two being the top albums in another language, though Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is fully in Spanish while For Your Consideration is part Spanish part English. This is the only album in the top 8 I haven't actually listened, so I don't really have much to say about it, but Femenine was pretty great.

tyla - tyla
@CorgiCorgiCorgi (10) @klow (10) @Dangerous Maknae (7) @klow (7) @melodrama (7) @Remorque (7) @Sail On (7) @Rogue (6) @boom bazooka joe (5) @daninternational (5) @Trouble in Paradise (5) @Oleander (4) @Diet Pop! (3) @4Roses (2) @saviodxl (2)

Missing the podium... by a pretty significative margin, we have the top debut album of the month, South African sensation Tyla's first. I was looking forward to this album, but I have to admit I found it a bit too samey/repetitive. It is cute though, and it's always great seeing a new pop girl thrive.

deeper well - kacey musgraves
@boom bazooka joe (10) @Rogue (10) @saviodxl (10) @unnameable (10) @ohnostalgia (9) @Oleander (9) @pop3blow2 (9) @Trouble in Paradise (9) @melodrama (8) @Remorque (8) @Sail On (8) @4Roses (7) @Dangerous Maknae (6) @Slice of Life (6) @estfer (5) @soratami (5) @Diet Pop! (4) @happiestgirl (4) @klow (3) @Aester (2)

Taking the bronze, but with enough points to nab #1 in most other months, we have the iconic Kacey Musgraves's fifth album Deeper Well. There's a huge gap between both #4 and #3 and #3 and #2, so this really was never going to end in another spot in the leaderboard, but still, third place is nothing to scoff at when you're going against two of the biggest and most beloved pop girls in the world. To me, personally, this isn't one Kacey's very best, but when the standard you set is sky high, that still makes for an excellent album.
