Babes - the only FL album released in Jan I've listened to I think might appeal to you all (the rest is veering on Italian Male Rap fff) is a mononym Italian lady - I know, quelle surprise!

If you'd like to try it out - it is a little classic PNAU gone Techno Pop a la SHYGIRL (with Female Vocals)! I recommend!

Not new, but I am happy to vote for this Classic Album (finally on streaming in full) - which I took the plunge and listened to as Our Lord & Saviour was victorious in RETRO. The tile of the Album is Techniques Of Relief and includes Niwashi King!

Thanks everyone who answered the w2g survey! Saturday seems to be the most popular day (Sunday got one less vote), which I agree with, I'm thinking of having the sessions on the Saturday after the last (New Music) Friday of the month would probably be ideal. And in terms of length 2-3 hours were the most popular choices, so we'll probably lean more towards the latter. If anyone still wants to have their say, feel free. I'm thinking of properly announcing the new format tomorrow (meant to do all this a bit earlier, but my laptop's been terrible lately, which was making any hosting duties a bit of a pain, but I got a new one yesterday so that won't be an problem anymore).

Introducing the...

POPJUSTICE MONTHLY CATCH-UP

What is it?
The new and improved watch2gether format! The idea is for it to be a lot more concise and streamlined than before, and hopefully for it not to be strictly a monthly charts-only thing, but rather a forum-wide activity!

What's the point?
As the title implies, it's a fun way to catch up on the month's releases and music videos with your fellow PJers, to introduce others to your faves and make a few discoveries of your own, and obviously a way to help sort your monthly charts ballots, though people who don't take part in these charts are also welcome to take part.

How does it work?
Everyone can submit up to five songs they want to be played in the session through a form, and then I'll compile a 60 song/~3 hour playlist based on people's submissions, this thread and the monthly Spotify playlist, and we'll watch it together at the assigned time.

What songs can be submitted?
Singles released on the month in question, preferably with music videos/visualisers. That last part isn't mandatory, but it does make for a more engaging session.

Will all my picks be played?
That depends on how many people submit songs, but at least some of them definitely will. And anything submitted by multiple people will definitely be played, as long as it meets the rules above.

When will it take place?
5PM GMT on the Saturday after the last (New Music) Friday of the month. In other words, the first session will be tomorrow.

How long will it be?
60 songs/~3 hours, but obviously people are free to join for as long as long as they want, whether it's the whole session or just a few minutes to see what it's like.

The first session will be tomorrow at 5PM here. You can submit your songs here.

If anything isn't clear or if anyone has any questions, please let me know!

Well, I guess this means it's time for this month's Spanish+ recommendations.

In terms of albums/EPs I didn't see anything notable that was released but if someone knows of one, let me know!

We'll start with the powerful trio of Lola Indigo, Maria Becerra, and Villano Antillano joining forces for the remix of Lola's song La Reina.

Next we have Aitana with her new song (which is hopefully part of an upcoming album) Segundo Intento.

Bad Gyal following in Ana Mena's footsteps is back with another collab with a man, this time it's for her song with Trueno called Angelito.

Belinda is also back with another collaboration with a man, but this time she's giving us a short film for a music video. The song is called La Cuadrada which features Tito Double P.

And to close out Part 1, let's go with Tini's more melancholic duet with Milo J called Lo Que Me Causa.

Part 2 coming shortly.

These two are both excellent!

The Ela Minus album is actually primarily in English, but she's an excellent Colombian electronic artist who's released a fair share of material in Spanish. The Sofia Coll EP is back to back Belén Aguilera-esque bangers in Spanish and Catalan.

Before I get to Part 2 I have to make an amendment to what I said in Part 1. This is what I get for not double checking before posting dddd.

Turns out we do have an album to listen to this month, which just came out today. It also happens to be from an artist I don't think I've featured before. Joaquina has dropped her album Al Romper La Burbuja.

What I've heard of it so far is very lovely. In a lot of ways it reminds me of Elsa & Elmar's material in it's sentimentality/emotiveness but a bit more propulsive at times.

Seems like she released lyric videos for everything so I'll pick one so to give you a taste, capricho.

Thanks! I do remember seeing the Ela album being shared but missed the other one. Need to comb through the thread more closely ddd. That makes 3 albums to potentially vote for then if we throw in Joaquina's!

Ok now for Part 2.

For those looking for a bit of fun, the new collaboration from Bomba Estéreo, Rawayana, and ASTROPICAL has you covered. It's called Me Pasa (Piscis). A song that references the best zodiac sign? Iconic.

Next up is a great song from a Venezuelan artist I recently discovered whose name is Yarge. The song is called De Cero and it's pretty addictive. The music video is set to debut in 3 hours so let me share the Spotify link instead ddd.

Juliana is also back but this time with a switch-up in sound. She tries out some reggaeton with her new collaboration with Esteban Rojas called Maldito Reggaeton

And I'll close things off with a very unexpected release. Shakira has put out a new remix of her perennially classic song Estoy Aquí which was done by Brazilian DJ and artist, Papatinho.
