The audacity of using the Xtina song when we have a record-breaking PJ00s winner right here.
A cute girl but she's no
And thank goodness for that.
(“Shouty pop-rock girl” is a genre that is way overrepresented in PJ00s, tbh.)
*watches @londonrain create his own song contest called PJR&BSC and he is the veto panel and he vetoes the songs if they don't fit into genre well enough*
I guess this is what I get for co-founding a contest with a noughties pop-rock stan dddd.
I’d have to veto most of my PJ00s entries on that basis...
(I think @Robsolete and @2014 probably enter more R&B than I do!)
Best music trends to come out of '00s music:
3. progressive house/trance
5. dance pop
666. bubblegum pop
You forgot Budget Britneys
Loving this appreciation of the underrated Eurovision masterpiece.
If we're still doing these 'song associations', here's another one:
They would fall under 666. bubblegum pop!
This drag from the person who sent in this:
I'm pretty sure there were more of them than that.
But I would consider POP! to fall under the dance pop category moreso than bubblegum pop!
(And Britpop of the early to mid '00s >> American pop of the same period.)
So I was overtaking @londonrain 's body when my Internet Service provider did not allow me to post as myself here, interesting....
I feel genuinely sad for anyone who can't appreciate how iconic '00s "shouty girl pop-rock" is.
This post is like a glimpse into my goddamn soul.
