"Lana del Rey’s voice and overall vibe is so annoying to me that I genuinely can’t remember the last time I made it all the way through one of her songs."

Well, I love her voice and think she has quite possibly the best discography out of any artist bar none, so why doesn't whoever wrote this reveal themselves so we can fight about it? (jk, if that wasn't clear)​

Not this confession being posted while I'm having Marina (and the Diamonds) songs on repeat, thinking what a fantastic melody crafter she is, then Lana crossed my mind as I wondered why I barely returned to her music after hearing the entire discography. And now I'm listening to "Doin' Time" and "High By the Beach".

I can get being annoyed by her persona (and her fans ddd) but the vocals/music is such a random thing, can't really fathom that. I thought this could be @Up N Down because of earlier comments but I did introduce him to some Lana songs and he loved "13 Beaches". If not, must be some stan of early 10s noisy EDM music and shouty vocals then.

Born To Die was mostly divine and I've absolutely liked tracks here and there in the years since (Lust For Life, happiness is a butterfly, etc.) but I've never really clicked with Lana en masse (whole albums, whole career, etc). She's an exceptional example of cohesive branding through music, though, I'll give her that!
