Welcome to the 57th edition of the song contest PJRetro (né PJOPS).
I am your host for this era because as always, thank you for the unexpected win.
For this win I must formally thank the members of Dazzle / Delage / Eden that helped me achieve my 3rd win across 3 competitions.
So thank you Rhonda, Karena, Frances & Emma.
(Even though they weren't involved with 'Running Back For More' also to Charlotte and

    Judy.)

Round 56 of the contest was a special one that celebrated all that is underrated in the world.

This round will celebrate some that are really only underrated on this forum.
    Men.

This round's is a male vocals.
However, you can submit an entry in to the contest that does have female vocals, but it must include some lines within it sung by a male.
An example of an acceptable female and male vocal song, that is also really good.

Between the opening of this contest and the conclusion of voting I would also like you to send in a male vocal song or album that is special to you so much so that you want the forum to hear it.
This side theme music must also have been released before December 31st 1999.

So please start a PM with me and send me your music.

You submit a song, the veto panel reviews your submission, and you’ll hear back if you’ve successfully passed.
Once the song list is revealed, you listen to all of the other entries and put together a Eurovision-style ballot ranking the 10 songs you think most deserve recognition with point values as follows:

12 points (your favourite song other than your own goes here.)
    10 points
    8 points
    7 points
    6 points
    5 points
    4 points
    3 points
    2 points
1 point (your 10th favourite song goes here.)

You cannot vote for your own entry, you don’t know who submitted the other songs, and only those who have entered a song may submit a ballot. Contestants who enter a song but don’t vote have their points total halved as a consequence.

Criteria that will fabsolutely result in a veto:

Song was originally released after December 31, 1999.
Song was already entered in a previous round of any of the PJ song contests.
Click here for the list of previous PJOPS entries.
Click here for the list of previous PJSC entries.

Song is a cover of or contains a prominent sample of a UK or US top 10 hit OR was covered/prominently sampled in a song that was a UK or US top 10 hit.
Act has over 25 pages of discussion on the forum.

Act was entered in the previous round.
This includes any related solo or group acts to an act that was entered in the previous round.
(e.g. Gwen Stefani and No Doubt, in an alternate universe where either of them could actually pass the veto criteria.)

Criteria that will also be taken in consideration for veto purposes.

Song is from an album that peaked in the top 10 on the UK or US albums chart.

Song is from a Platinum- or Gold-certified album in the UK or US.

  4. I’m so sorry I couldn’t resist (plus any opportunity to post a video of a Melbourne Housewife, I’ll take it)

Great theme, great graphics - bring on the testosterone!

  5. Oh my, that's a bold theme! I think it has been done before, but before I started participating in what was then PJOPS.

  6. Lemme comment as a reminder to not leave it til the last day to find an entry (like most people I imagine, there is no testosterone on my shortlist).

  7. Edit: yes I've fixed it now.
Is that your side theme song or...

Yep, I'm happy to host the sequel to @WowWowWowWow's 3rd round theme.

  8. Did I go find the PJ OPS 3 thread from 7 years ago, yes I did.

    Well, at least he's consistent.

  10. I completely forgot about that. Funny that it was followed by

Cue to me not participating for ten rounds, returning on round 13, which was in fact a non-English round, and winning. That was a classic.

  11. So... I have a grand total of three (3) songs on my potentials list: a @berserkboi bait, a semi-troll entry, and a song that I truly love, but will possibly end up with a total of 5 points max.

    Choices, choices.

I am following through on my statement that I am going to send whatever the hell I want from now on.

I have literally no idea who is going to vote for this song, but hopefully somebody likes it.

  14. I kind of wish I hadn't wasted a male vocals entry three rounds ago now. It probably would have done a bit better than... bottom 3... here.

  15. That said, I already submitted something, and it's great, so let's do this.

I wonder which David Charvet song @berserkboi is going to submit a dodgy live version of this time...
