PJXtra 14: PJXtra vs PJSC: Winners crowned!

Thanks for the final points from @iheartpoptarts and @swim.
That's unfortunate that I've ended my top 10 streak in Xtra now.
But again it's worth it for the 12 from @daninternational.

Thank you for hosting @WoW73 & @berserkboi (but no points). I wonder what pokemon I'll get, I had no desire to pick one, but I picked the other thing.

Lastly very well done on a clear winner @Up N Down. Bombshell, but 'Voyage' is much much better than their other winning song.

@Up N Down the iconography is simply too much - winning two contests with the same artists, the mind of a mastermind
Ok but are you ready for Anet Vaikmaa's PJXtra entry?

I'm glad I didn't follow these results live dd. That said, when I read the two final voters were @Untouchable Ace and @swim I knew my song had absolutely no chance of winning over Parade of Planets. The blatant reorganising ballots to create tension... I see you @hosts dd

Anyway, congrats for the win @Up N Down and thanks for the points everyone! I got #3 in round 12 and #2 in round 14 so maybe round 16 is when I'll actually manage to win.

My beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Tocotronic song ending in the bottom 5?

Tocotronic made me cry (combined with the video) and now seeing it flopping makes me cry again.
I am very happy to hear you liked it that much. It's literally my favourite German language song of the last six months! And also thank you very much to @Fluorocarbon, @If You Go, @Sprockrooster and @Untouchable Ace for the points and saving me from total disaster.

Congratuluations @Up N Down for the deserved win, and thank you to our wonderful hosts for this nailbiter of a reveal!

I gotta say, I am flabbergasted Cross Country / @Cotton Park ended up in last place. UNDESERVED!

This was a good crop of songs, I liked almost all of them and made plenty of new discoveries. My picks were all very close, it was hard to rank them.

And thanks to everyone who voted for my pick—if you like this then the rest of the album is well worth your time. Though it may be more relevant than ever these days for the worst of reasons, Ukraine has been my favorite musical scene for years now (decades, really). It's super underrated and there's so much to discover that I could probably run nothing but Ukrainian entries in these contests for the next five years, but I'll resist the temptation. (And I see you, @If You Go — that Ruslana track is awesome, and I admit you got some Eurovision-bloc style solidarity from me.)

Chile is another favorite scene of mine, so glad to see it represented well here. Javiera is incredible, isn't she?! Culpa isn't my favorite of her recent singles (that'd be Corazon Astral and Dos), but it's still super strong and I'm disappointed she won't be taking it to Eurovision.

(dd I'll only do it if someone manages to convince me it's easy and I won't fuck it up, the whole results presentation part of it absolutely terrifies me).

It's not that bad! I've managed to do it twice on my own without screwing everything up! As @WoW73 said above co-hosting can be a good way to ease in to it! Anyhow congrats on the win! And thank you to @WoW73 and @berserkboi for hosting!

And thank you for the points:

03: @soratami
02: @WoW73

Literally was going to send one of them until my dog got ill when the round opened. Can't decide if I'll be more outraged when it wins or when it doesn't.

I'm glad @soratami took it first, though. I would have left the forum forever over not winning "(:"

Thank you so much for the points @berserkboi, @Untouchable Ace, @TéléDex. Theatre kid Ralph is a one small rainbow flag waving over the painfully heteronormative music scene of Poland. Maybe one day we can have out popstars, but for now, it's huge to have one of the biggest artists in the country emanating queerness everywhere they go. And it all started with "Kosmiczne Energie" smashing - a classic, as much as any three year old song can claim to be.

'Course, the round's not over yet, so, since my headache finally subsided, I'm heading to vote in the second part!

I'm so worrfor Poland queer wise, to an extent also for Florida.
But at least they're taking care of Ukraine right now.
I hope Poland finds the queer light.
