Did a Spice special with a sprinkling of Mariah, Jessie Ware and GRL for the first episode of my podcast if anyone's in the mood for a bit of that. Would be keen to hear any feedback you may have as it's all very new to me! Spice stuff starts at the 10 minute mark

Omgggg my friend from my bookclub posted your podcast on their IG story today recommending people listen. I’ve started following.

Maybe kinda niche, but it is the season: What’s everyone’s favourite horror movie podcasts? I gave a few Halloween franchise episodes of Screaming Cinema a whirl today and it’s alright. I thought Surgeons of Horror would be right up my street but it’s a bit too slow and lacking in chemistry between the hosts for me. What else is good?

My favourite is Horror Queers, they basically do LGBTQ+ favourites, as well as horrors with queer readings. I think the hosts have great chemistry as well.

I stumbled across Gaby Roslin's podcast this evening and was really surprised at how enjoyable it is. So far I've listened to her with Dame Judi Dench and her daughter Finty Williams, a very open and honest chat with Robbie Williams, and now I'm about to listen to her episode with Celia Imrie.

Faculty of horror. Two amazing female hosts reviews horror movies every month and i just love sheer dedication and effort these girls show to the movies. Lots of references, analysis and a fresh voice / povs. Their episode on French Extremity and Haneke's Funny Games are my favorites.

I’m absolutely OBSESSED with Dolly Parton’s America.

So amazing.

I need more Podcasts. They've kept me sane this year (and before) - like friends in my ears. I think for that reason I've stuck with quite conversational, comfort food type ones.

On rotation:
Race Chaser
Legends Only
Bald & The Beautiful
Battle Of The Atom (X-Men Podcast)
Cerebro (X-Men Podcast)
Inside The Groove (Madonna song breakdown podcast)

Occasionally:
Song Exploder
Unflopped
Table Manners

I adored The Missing Cryptoqueen and years ago Serial. I could probably do with more 'story' ones - I loved Dreamboy.

If you’re after a good story podcast, have you listened to S-Town?

That's a Night Vale one isn't it? I can recommend Within The Wires, which is co-written by one of the Night Vale creators.

(Full disclosure: the other writer is a really good friend of mine. But it IS brilliant.)

So I never really was big on podcasts (cause why listen to talking people when I can have music??) but recently stumbled upon one with 2 past VJs of a dutch music station talking about their days at the station and a whole lot of 90s nostalgia and I went through 12 episodes in like 2 days..

With that being done: any tips on good poprelated popcasts?
I started on one with 2 guys talking about several pop albums and while I very much enjoy that as a subject they basically tell trivia already know and give their opinions, it feeling very much like they're having a great time while I'm... not?
I think having a guest (preferably artists themselves) helps a lot because 2 people having a conversation just doesn't work for me as well?
