Absolutely. Miles is literally the king.It really is the perfect music for late nights and Sunday mornings isn't it?
Love the title!
Absolutely. Miles is literally the king.
Mindi Abair is among my favourite artists as well. She is both a singer as saxophonist. I definitely recommend this album to anyone. It literally is jazz in it's core but sugarcoated in pop. A perfect unison:
Mindi has quite the discography but Stars is a great starting point.
Thanks! I will check her.
I also just discovered this, yas.
This is amazing.
I love jazz too. Naima is stunning. My Favourite Things is a great album and one of my favourites (no pun intended). I still need to explore later Coltrane.
Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas is played on rotation each December.
It really is the best music for late nights and early Sunday mornings.
I cannot think of anything better than it's 2:00 a.m., dim lights, a glass of wine and listening to Julie London or Ella Fitzgerald. So calming and satisfying.
I do like a bit of jazz.
It all started for me with the Sade stuff, Absolute Beginners soundrack, Courtney Pine, and then Miles Davis doing the TuTu album...
Honestly, I’m in the same boat. I’ve always had a lot of respect for his work but it felt intimidating - Return To Forever is excellent though and worth checking out. He's one of those artists whose work I feel I should know better.
