The footage of the assault on Paul Pelosi has now been released. Part of it shows David DePape breaking into Pelosi's house with a hammer. They've also released the police interview where he claims he went in "to fight tyranny" like the Founding Fathers.

It's strange that all the "just asking questions" folks like Glenn Greenwald and Elon Musk are suddenly so quiet about this now. It's almost like they spent months blaming an old man for being viciously beaten in his own home.

DeSantis just went on record saying he would sign a 6 week abortion ban, so that's going to be some major ammunition that can be used against him. Republicans really just looked at the 2022 midterms results and said to hell with it, huh? Like, say what you want about Dems but at least they reassessed after 2016 and regrouped. Rs are just....yikes.

He's also going to ban taxes on gas stoves and allow taxation of electric stoves. Mess.

Desantis is effectively dismantling the few good bastions in education left for black, brown and queer kids and young people.

What he did to New College and who he appointed to do his bidding is absolutely disgusting.

Where he is so much more dangerous than Trump is that he’s not completely driven by ego and self-promotion… there’s a more sinister root camouflaged by conservatism.

And he’s smart enough (or his people are) to know that if he can change the way kids are fed information, you can change the way a whole generation relates and empathizes to marginalized groups.

He truly would round us all up and put us in camps if he thought he could get away with it. Put him in the White House and he may just have the power to.

The Trump opposition file on DeSantis only being his support of the COVID vaccine that he sped up the creation of and Repubs saying vaccines will be a major flashpoint of the GOP primary is bleak. We're about to see a whole host of illnesses that have been inactive for years coming back to prove... not sure what the point is dd.
