Defunding the UNRWA, too? Jesus Christ. Let me guess, the UNRWA is secretly harboring Hamas leadership!

I'm beyond. Let me continue to not pay my student loans and my federal taxes, I guess. We'll see how long I have until debtors prisons are re-established.
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure US already defunded UNWRA in the last government spending bill? Completely evil of course.

I believe the current bill that the Senate passed (which the House Dems are now trying to force a vote on by pressuring progressives, arguing "just vote to allow a vote and then vote no on it! :)") would make it illegal to restore funding to the agency in the future:

Looks like a basket of deplorables to me!

Oh and hot off the presses from my home state:

US Supreme Court lets Idaho enforce ban on transgender care for minors

I am fucking terrified as a gay man, I cannot imagine how this must feel for trans Idahoans and, by extension, all Americans. What an absolute joke of a legal system. Sending hugs and light to whoever needs a hug or light.

The fact that they can report "$17 Billion to kill Gazans; $9 Billion for humanitarian aid for Gazans" with a straight face, like........
The $9b aid is banned from reaching the hands of UNRWA and will likely go to 3rd party Israeli vendors or disastrous attempts at aid like food air drops that have already dozen multiple Gazans.

So in actuality it's like nearly $30b aid for Israel.

Gaza has become the albatross around Biden’s neck. It is his war, not just Benjamin Netanyahu’s. It will be part of his legacy, an element of his obituary, a blot on his campaign — and it could get worse if Gaza cascades into a full-blown famine or violent anarchy, or if a wider war breaks out involving Iran or Lebanon. An Israeli strike on a military base in central Iran early Friday underscored the danger of a bigger and more damaging conflict that could draw in the United States.

Consider just one example of America’s fingerprints on this war under Biden’s leadership. In January, the Israeli military dropped a bomb on a compound in Gaza used by the International Rescue Committee, a much-respected American aid organization that is supported in part by American tax dollars. The International Rescue Committee says that the near-fatal strike was caused by a 1,000-pound American-made bomb, dropped from an American-made F-16 fighter jet. And when an American-made aircraft drops an American-made bomb on an American aid group in an American-supported war, how can that not come back to Biden?

“Biden owns that,” said Jeremy Konyndyk, a former Biden and Obama administration official who now runs Refugees International, another aid group. “They’ve provided the matériel that sustains the war. They provided political support that sustains the war. They provided the diplomatic cover at the U.N. that sustains the war.”

I just had the most adjective dream I've ever had thanks to Queen melatonin and I'm up reading this half-asleep at 1:50am feeling a certain feeling. The Democrats had four years to actually stop Trump, and they've instead doubled down on the methodology that cost them 2016 (and would've surely cost them 2020 too in a COVID-free world) and provided a genocidal regime with unprecedented amounts of carte blanche support. I hate them. What a fucked up world. It makes a man with a soul want to go back to sleep.
