PopJustice News Network (PJNN): U.S. Politics [Hell] Channel

I’m sorry for the stupid question but if states protect abortion rights, can that be overturned higher up?
My (limited) understanding was that overturning Roe was basically overturning protections at the federal level and so it's up to the states to decide how they want to manage. But there's no guarantee they don't do something about that.

Conservative states can undermine care and access through healthcare regulations, but this is the perception the right wants you to believe.

I know politics have always been divisive but I hate how Trump/Trumpism has made the divide in this country bigger than ever. He doesn't stand for uniting our nation, he only stands for himself. He is one of only 6 presidents in US history to not attend the inauguration of the incoming president, and the first in 100 years. Kamala gave him a call to congratulate him last night, and there's no way in hell he would have done the same for her.

Kamala winning wouldn't have fixed it obviously, but it would have maybe stopped it from getting worse. Along with many other things, I'm really scared of what the social climate is going to be like in the years to come.

I hope eventually what happened here can be explained satisfactorily. 15 million less votes is a lot.

When you see results like this in a comfortably Red state you do have to acknowledge it isn’t progressive policy (using the term loosely here because christ this is the absolute bare minimum) that’s unpopular and the Democrats need to reckon with the fact they have been misguided in not pushing policy and messaging like this in lieu of chasing moderate Republicans that will never break rank in high enough numbers to comfortably secure them elections.

Like others have said it’s shocking how accurate Bernie was almost a decade ago about democrats needing to go back to “bread and butter issues” and the Democrat establishment has just refused to listen at any point.

Not to be a revisionist but our world would have been so much better if he had been the Democratic candidate in 2016 rather than “it’s my time now!” Hilary.

We need Donald to die. And soon. I’m pretty confident that none of his spawn - or Just Dance Vance - could fill the vacuum and control the chaos caused by his departure. Someone poison his Big Mac

I'm going to hold your hand while I tell you this, but...JD Vance was installed by Elon Musk and Peter Thiel to turn America into a deregulated corporate oligarchy.

I fully expect Trump to be sworn in, start deportations and ban vaccines in his first couple of weeks, then announce a health issue and step down.

Musk and Thiel own America now.
