PopJustice News Network (PJNN): U.S. Politics [Hell] Channel

The thing with Liz Cheney was an obvious attempt to show Republicans that even a member of their own party was against Trump and that it was okay to vote against him. It ultimately failed but I get where they were going. It was a big, “Even one of the most loyal conservative members of your party, Donald, doesn’t even want you.”
The fact is that the vast majority of Republicans like Trump. The Democrats made a big mistake in depressing their own base to try to capture a tiny voting block.

The Cheney tour was one of the worst mistakes Kamala’s campaign made. That entire faction was either not voting for Trump or already voting for Kamala. And to make matters worse, it turned off numerous Dems and Independents who (rightfully!) detest the Cheneys. If Liz wants to repent her sins and fight the evils she and her father are directly responsible for then that’s great, but that should have been fully independent from the Harris campaign.

From my vantage point, it seems like the Pro-Palestinian movement has become conspicuously quiet right now which, whether their intention or not, creates the perception amongst some that the protests were in bad faith or that selective activism was happening to damage one particular candidate instead of holding the entire system accountable.

It’s not because of leftists in America getting quiet or being hypocritical (for the most part), it’s because bots and foreign agents hyping up these narratives have succeeded in replacing Biden with Trump.

I had no issue with people having reservations with voting for Kamala Harris, but where is the non-stop criticism for the Trump-Vance administration? Where is the mass outrage on campus protests? Where is the constant barrage of press around this administration's actions in regards to their Middle East policy? Maybe it's my own algorithms, but I couldn't escape (valid) criticism of the Biden-Harris administration's actions on social media for over a year whereas now......crickets (relatively speaking).

People heard what they wanted to hear. Kamala said Israel had the right to defend itself, but responsibly. Whereas Biden seemed almost fearful of Israel, she made it clear (to me) that she was not. Not to mention the Biden Harris Administration were working towards a ceasefire.

I appreciate people bringing awareness to the genocide, but a lot of it feels (to me) like an excuse to attack Democrats.

Am I really expected to believe the liberals excoriating pro-Palestine activists actually give a shit about what's happening to Palestinians right now? Where have they been for the last 15 months, other than running the party into the ground with their feckless and hopelessly ineffective leaders? They've showed nothing but sneering contempt and both sidesism ("oh, those guys are always fighting") towards anyone distressed by the genocide.

Biden knew full well that Netanyahu was intentionally trying to make Gaza uninhabitable so he could ethnically cleanse the area and kill/mass deport any survivors, yet he went along 100%. Be mad at his cruelty and political malpractice, not a bunch of college students who tried to stop mass murder.

Senator Mitch McConnell left the Capitol this afternoon in a wheelchair after he fell two times. McConnell, 82, the former Republican leader from Kentucky and a polio survivor, has suffered multiple falls and health episodes in recent years. He stepped down as leader at the start of this year and has not announced whether he will seek re-election in 2026. He fell exiting the Senate chamber following a confirmation vote and again while attending a nearby lunch. He was helped up by colleagues both times.

Rooting for marble floors!

It’s such low hanging fruit. Trans women aren’t even doing that well in sports! If the entire US Olympic team was made up of trans women I’d be like… ok maybe some changes need to be made. But trans women aren’t doing any better than anyone else! Also there are so few trans women who want to do sports.

It’s just fucking gross and easy for these freaks.

Also it’s sports. Who fucking cares. Oh so the woman who was born a boy put the rubber ball in the fabric net before you did?! Womp womp.

I find this worrying and scary. Can't laught about it.

My View With Lara Trump will “focus on the return of common sense to all corners of American life as the country ushers in a new era of practicality,” says Fox News’ official synopsis. “Every week, the program will feature big picture analysis and interviews with thought leaders, shedding light on the headlines driving the national conversation and affecting families around the country.”

Two of my conservative State-Workers coworkers were saying how one was "So happy" about the election and the other was "ready for common sense to come back" right after the election. Ugh. And this is Kansas so most of the rest are just as unbearable.

Lowkey wondering what all the people who wouldn’t shut the fuck up about Kamala allegedly being “pro-genocide” feel now after not voting for her.
You're wondering how people who had double digit family members murdered by Biden feel about Trump continuing the genocide like Harris also promised to?

Also the amount of people who liked this comment is shocking.

PopJustice has long struggled to deal with how it often slips into representing the contradictions affluent gay musical hobbyists whose various marginalized identities often obscure the privilege of existing in the imperial core and the blind spots that arise from that unique material reality, but essentially defending genocide because you have a parasocial relationship with a female politician who ran an awful campaign is a different level.

That itself reveals something far dirtier and meaner underneath all the proclaimed virtue signaling.

Single-issue voters are foolish and too arrogant to admit they messed up.

Anyone with a third of a brain should’ve seen that Kamala would’ve been better for Gaza than Trump. But they ignored her plans for a ceasefire and 2-state nation, and instead of admitting they’ve made a terrible mistake, they’re still blaming democrats. Democrats are evil, but you want them to “do something” after your actions (or lack of) helped them lose power?! Makes sense.

I know Hamas was a response to Israel trying to push Palestinians out of their own land, I get it, but they’re the ones who started attacking civilians. Israel has gone WAY too far since, but like, we can’t ignore facts. On paper, I can’t blame the US from helping their ally defend itself against terrorism. But now we know that the situation is much deeper than that. I firmly believe Kamala would’ve handled Israel much differently than Biden had (as she flipping said she would).

But it doesn’t matter, people will believe whatever they want. I just hate that those of us with common sense who voted accordingly have to suffer with all the dumb dumbs.
