Around the time of the 90's you would see top 10 debuts all the time, but it was unusual in the 80's. Thriller debuted at #20 in 1984 but it was around for quite a few weeks on the radio, before it was finally released as a single. The only other song I can think of that debuted really high in the 80's that missed the top 10 was "It's Raining Again" by Supertramp.He did seem very popular in the US with the last album. Number 40 - new entry - out of Cubland and into the HMV Retrochart for Indeep and "Last night a DJ saved my life" - is that a "Chic" riff I hear?
