I'll have a go, I love making lists. It took a long time for me to understand the charting thing, but I'm here now.
About this week's inaugural chart:
Lots of memories. Enola Gay number one, it's the 80s sound I didn't know I needed right now.
Intrumentals are in fashion too, instrumentals to run to, like in that 80s commercial (n°7), or the famous slow motion scene from "Chariot of Fire" (n°2).
Songs that reminds me of breakthrough performances by teen future movie stars:
Charlotte Gainsbourg in "L'effrontée" summer movie (n°15), Sophie Marceau in "La Boum" (n°14). How many times have watched this film?
This chart is just full of hits, hits, hits, memorable, tuneful. At the end some recent discoveries like Bucks Fizz (n°48), Vienna (n°38).
A fun walk down memory lane that I hope to take often.

EG's Chartdust: So, the pressure remains on Spandau Ballet, with Stevie Wonder and Duran Duran leading the charge for the next #1. ABBA appear to have peaked, Gary Numan's guest feature can only move up to #8, while Kraftwerk's progress slows to a single place climb to #9.

Shaky notches up another Top 10 entry, while Kim Wilde should do the same next time around, as her Double A-side finds itself at #11 after just 2 weeks. The Human League almost went all the way with their last single The Sound Of The Crowd, so watch out for their Love Action.

Elsewhere, it's welcome to a newly-solo Debbie Harry, feisty Irish anthem purveyors U2, and further Retrochart success for chart regulars UB40 and Siouxsie & The Banshees. Wunderbar indeed!
