Yes, I created a database/archive thing which had every charting UK Top 75 (or Top 100, pre-1989) album listed by release date (or chart entry date if all else failed). It's not been extended beyond about 2006 though.

ABC's second single "Poison Arrow" is produced by Trevor Horn (the band were impressed by his work with Dollar's "Hand held in black and white") - it's given them their first top ten hit as it "shoots" up 25 places this week from 33 to 8:
The Jam get their hattrick as "A town called Malice" makes it three weeks at the top this week:

The Jam perform the hattrick with “A town called Malice” now at the summit for three weeks! Soft Cell are hot on their tail as “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye” moves up from 4 to 2 and also climbing inside the top ten are Hall and Oates, Haircut 100, Toni Basil, ABC, Spandau Ballet and Stiff Little Fingers. Heading south are The Men and OMD.

When I get off Planetbowie (it's all I seem to listen to and work on these days), I might get around to updating some of the availability details on there....quite a few have probably been reissued in the last year or two....or, conversely, gone out of print.
Talking of Bowie - 1982 was one of his real "barron" years - but he will make a BIG comeback in 1983 with his UK best selling single!
Yes, 1981 and 1982 were (space) oddities for Bowie...the acquired taste of Alabama Song (to finish off his RCA deal), the Wild Is The Wind single release to plug Changestwobowie, then the Baal project, Cat People....and yet he still managed to have a #1 with Queen on Under Pressure.
Now that I have image hosting again, let's see how this goes!
