Introduction
Popjustice Song contest is a music contest focused on discovering new music, each participant picks a song by a lesser known artist or new discovery and pits this song against other unknown or new songs.

Submission/Veto
The song you have chosen should be submitted to the host of the contest during the submission period, during this time the veto panel will score your song out of 100 (0 being instant veto, 100 being no issues) if it averages 50+ then it will be accepted into the contest.

Generally songs must not have charted in the UK or to a lesser degree, the USA. The artist should also not be one that popjustice is championing, they should also not have a significant presence on the forum to find a list of recent Veto's then click here, you can also find a List of all the songs ever entered here.

Voting
After the song list is revealed you have period of time where you are able to submit your votes, you should vote using the traditional Eurovision style points system (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) with the top marks going to your favorite, and 1 going to your 10th favorite, and remember you cannot vote for your own entry.

I was going back and forth with two songs I've loved for a few years but I couldn't choose between them so I ended up going with a song I discovered last week!.

That Slytherin cartoon is so cute.

edit: I couldn't decide between a subtle masterpiece of a song I've been obsessed with this month, or a cheap bubblegum video that's catchy as heck. Went with the slow burner. I probably made a huge mistake.

Really cool theme. Don't hate me but I've never watched any of the Harry Potter books (well except for the first one a bit in school) or watched any of the movies. I may change that someday. But for some reason, having to read the first book in school turned me off from being a early fan. Not sure why.

So yeah, I'm one who's been sorta living under a rock for a long time. So my choice for the right group will be based on what name I think is the coolest sounding.

Iamaduck, you are always top class as a host here. Now let me get a song out to you.

Excellent choice for a theme, @imaduck (and I'm not even a HP fan). I just submitted my song and it's one of my favorite own entries yet.
