    Scream - come on Laura!!!!

  6. Laura to be the first person to do the Mercury/ 20 quid double? Legend behaviour.

  7. Laura knocked out Dua! She's coming for blood. I hope she can win it.

  8. The only one that hasn’t come up yet that feels like it could vanquish Laura is Jessie? But she is on a roll!

  12. Just noticed Peter vanquished DaBaby before tonight’s event, king.

  13. I’m not sure in what world Sweet Melody, Levitating and What’s Your Pleasure aren’t the three best songs on the list, but go off a bit Ms Mvula.

  14. She's My Religion is great but I never expected it to be in the top 2. Hopefully more people listen to the Pale Waves album and live their Avril fantasy (Laura to win though).

  15. YES! So happy for her.

Thrilled for her!! Is she the closest to have ever come to the double? Wish she'd grabbed the Mercury now!

  18. Well congratulations. Not a bad song in the slightest but also not how I imagined things were going to go. Surprising how she Silky Ganache'd her way through the shortlist.

  19. I'm happy Laura won, but I have to admit the voting in these things seems very weird. Like, how the hell was She's My Religion top 2 out of that pool of songs?
