Call Me was released in April 2002 as the second single from Tweet's debut album Southern Hummingbird, which had been released two weeks before. Like Oops (Oh My) beofre it, it was written by Tweet and Missy Elliott and produced by Timbaland. It charted at #31 in the Billboard Hot 100, at #9 in the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart and at #35 in the UK, making it Tweet's second biggest hit in both countries (after Oops (Oh My) obviously). It also did decently in Australia and a few other countries.
Call Me seemed to be a song y'all generally liked but didn't love, as shown by the lack of 10s (tied with two other songs for the second least in the top 40) and of commentary as well. It didn't received many low scores either however, hence the middle of the board placement. The song received a radio mix for its European release, which makes it pop a lot more than the relatively mellow original, and I imagine would have bumped its score somewhat. I know it would have made me give it a 10 instead of a 9, but unfortunately I only found out about it after the reveals had already started.

This is ultimately a very catchy song with a great hip hop-infused beat, but it lacks a bit of character and is a bit faceless. Tweet has shown a lot of personality and charisma in the rest of her singles discography so I think this already good song could have been much more than what it is."
@Untouchable Ace (8.8) Although it seems reminiscent of other big songs it's solid.
@lalaclairi_ (9) Not as good as "Call Me, Beep Me", but Christina Milian's teen pop era was great overall. (Speaking of Call Me, Beep Me!, don't forget to vote in R&B BOP QUEENS RATE PART II: THE FAN FAVOURITES)

Keri and Timbaland were frequent collaborators, and she also appears in two other songs in the album - The Way I Are and Miscommunication. Scream was a big hit in Europe, charting at #12 in the UK and in the top 10/20 in several other countries, and it also charted at #20 in Australia, but it didn't do much in the US, not even making the top 100 (it peaked at #22 in the Bubbling Under charts), which is surprising given the album's three previous singles all made top 3. The US really wasn't here for solo Nicole at all huh?
I have to say Scream I've never liked Scream all that much, and it's definitely my least favourite song Keri song here. Listening to it for the rate actually made me appreciate it a bit more, but it's for me it's still only nice enough, it's no The Way I Are or Give It to Me, that's for sure. All the moaning is a bit much, and let's not even get into the mess that is Timbaland's spoken outro (which admittedly isn't in the single version, so we could just ignore it). Y'all were generally here for it though, with it receiving seven 10s and also the highest lowest score so far.

@livefrommelbs (9.5) Struggling to articulate why this one slaps so hard. It's sultry, sensual and kinda dark and moody all at once. So good.
@godspeed (9.5) "The Shock Value album was a moment in this boy life and this particular song was, of course, a big part of it. I remember how special it felt to have Nicole Scherzinger and Keri Hilson on the same track at the time it was released. I miss 2007! Anyway, this is brilliant. Another great Timbaland joint. The background vocals on the breakdown after Nicole's verse are an especially nice moment!"

@Music Is Life (10) Loving that chorus. Actually loving this in general. That production is so good. And their vocals are great.
