I'm late but No. Absolutely not. Nah-ah.
Neither of these two should be leaving right now??? Brooke Candy's part aged super poorly here but it's still a bop!
Delicious (with Tommy Cash)

Another divisive one, we say goodbye to Pop 2 cut Delicious. With 2 11s it has its diehard fans, but it also has its detractors as there were a few below average scores received for this one, meaning it ends up missing out on a space in our final 30! Delicious features Tommy Cash and is ok but mostly skippable for me, but a safe 6 to be fair. It has that sample in it which is fun but throws me off every time, and Caroline Polachek also lends backing vocals to it!
Again produced by A.G., I feel like it's a real deep cut in Charli's discography and it sneaking this far is an achievement for the song, but I guess a lot of people will have been wanting more from it. Aside from Track 10 this is longest song on the Pop 2 mixtape and maybe that's to it's detriment, as it drags on certain listens. Tommy Cash is kind of annoying dd but I think Pop 2 really excels in Charli going to the extremes of her sound and where she can go, so I can't hate it too much....
.........this is deranged.
THIS IS NOT ALLOWED.
Oh, y’all are sick down.
"Delicious" is a 10 and the best track on "Pop 2"
Delicious is a simmering, frenetic masterpiece. It's like an AI robot just discovered porn and can't stop compulsively masturbating. I've been obsessed with it since Day 1 and I feel like I always find new things to love: the way the beat drops on the chorus, the production constantly ramping up towards the end, Tommy's verse with the Boom Clap reference, the bridge afterward, that ethereal outro...it had to snag my 11, there was no choice.
Finally! Everyone calling out Girls Night Out when this was still in...
I gave this 2 points purely for the relief of Tommy Cash being cut off being by the Boom Clap clip. Which says a lot since I am also not very fond of that song dd.
I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT YOU WHEN I’M HIGH!!!
I WANNA HEAR YOU WHISPER ON THE TELEPHONE, YEAH!!!
YOU CALL ME UP AND THEN I’M SATISIFIED!!!
I TOUCH MYSELF AND THEN I’M NOT ALONE NO MORE!!!!!
"Delicious" is a discography highlight and is in my personal Charli XCX Top 10. I wasn't a fan of Tommy Cash's verse initially, but when it clicked, it clicked.

So I didn't realise this was a tie, but as I hate ties I probably would've revealed this before our last elimination Delicious as that had received 2 11s (though this did attract less low scores, so...) ANYWAY Charli track Silver Cross is our next song to wave farewell to. Again it's a track I'm not in love with, but find ok, and I'm surprised it reached this far - but I guess it's quite an inoffensive song, and the lack of low scores helped it sneak up the rankings.
Charli commented that she thinks this could be a 'fan favourite' and that it's mainly about helping a friend forget their troubles and partying with them basically. It's definitely a song that is reminiscent of her earlier True Romance stuff and it's a cute throwback on Charli whereas a lot of the other songs from it are very *big* sounding, it's nice to get a good solo Charli moment. Produced once again by A.G. Cook, I don't feel it really warrants that much reaction, it does what it needs to do but I would probably always choose another Charli song to listen to instead of it, dd.
Dd I knew I was gonna lose a high score right after...
NEITHER of these songs should be ANYWHERE close to gone yet. Ugh.
I'm sorry but the last 30 seconds of "Silver Cross" is life-changing.
The verses of Delicious always make me think of Beyoncé singing them for some reason.
Cross You Out needs to be crossed out immediately.
To back-to-back 9s when "Girls Night Out" continues to thrive is just rude.
I probably should have scored Delicious a bit higher, but Tommy Cash's verse (minus that iconic "Boom Clap" interpolation) drags it done a bit. Otherwise it is one of finest and filthiest moments in Charli's career. The transition from the bridge to the final chorus still does things to me on a physical and spiritual level.
You guys.... this is truly how I felt while doing the first charli rate, her scores are EVERYWHERE.
it was harrowing
At this rate, Lipgloss is going to win AGAIN ffff
