Charts: #76 (Canada) #156 (South Korea) #3 (Yahoo Video)

Info: Originally "You Are the Only One" was planned to be the debut single for Emily's debut EP All The Right Wrongs, but Emily pushed for "All the Way Up" and eventually got her way. She is inspired by Alanis Morissette and specifically wanted this record to be like Jagged Little Pill...at least she has lofty goals right? Emily co-wrote a song about "breaking out" and "being who want to be" which she felt was very important for her teenaged fans. It took about three months to complete the EP while she was on set for Hannah Montana. The music video includes the band Push Play, who she had just appeared in another a music video for, so they were returning the favor.

Hazey's Focus: Not much to say about this. I always forget how much I love the rock stuff from her debut, when compared to the electro-pop from Fight or Flight that I always associate with her. However, you can bet I was bopping away when listening to this for the rate after having not listened to it in years. Just classic 00s pop-rock at its finest.

It sounds like @Sally_Harper (3) would've been the one calling the cops for being too loud if she were in the music video's apartment: "Her voice is a bit grating here and the song isn’t doing much for me."

Usually a sucker for this style of pop, @Mina (4) explains why it fell short: "I was with this one up until that awful autotune portion."

On the other hand, @iheartpoptarts (6) usually isn't the biggest fan of this kind of pop: "The return of the generic pop/rock look-at-me-I’m-a-rebel song. Poor the Grandma."

@Martyn (7) demands a comeback and I'm not going to stop him: "She should be huge." I needed Fight or Flight #2. Like literally needed it.

@WhenTheSunGoesDown (7) gives a low grade for creativity: "It’s kind of hilarious how all these girls got an identical debut single and matching video. She truly does not have the voice for this kind of song."

This was "fun pop rock" for @unnameable who suddenly can't give a low score and I'm not complaining.

@31entrance (9.25) was having a nice re-discovery: "forgot how great this song is! also is that Aaron Taylor-Johnson I see in the music video?"

I'd say I'm getting revenge against a low scorer from earlier, but in this rate all the eliminations hurt me too. This one just hurts less than others..

That's right folks, this is our first song that touched the Top 10. However the Mean-a/Satan_Harper crew came in and changed that real fast.

Charts: #25 (U.S.) <-- Highest charting song yet.

Info: Debut single for the Hannah Montana 2 soundtrack and reached #25 the same week that her album hit #1. This would be Hannah Montana's highest charting single until "He Could the One" came along...

Hazey's Focus: ...which I've now just realized I should've included in the rate somehow. Oops. I love a lot of her singles and just kind of picked two I thought might do well. Hey, I didn't get any suggestions or it could've been brought to my attention. Obviously everyone should know this song and if you don't get taste, but my favorite little part is the way Miley sings "lets make it rock" in kind of a casual manner. I don't know it's odd, I love it.

So you wanna know what the 'Mean-a/Satan_Harper' crew had to say about this? Not much: "Ugh" and "Dear God" respectively. Yeah, I'll let that sink in. If I even see one of those Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole pointing at each other gifs from you two, I swear...

How about a little preview of what happened to the other Hannah Montana track? Just ask @Martyn (2.75) for a hint: "This is really cringe! I mean Nobody's Perfect also is, but this takes it to another level."

@Remorque (6) takes the high road by not tanking the song despite not feeling it: "Enjoyable unadulterated fun, but I just can't connect to it…"

Okay so this comment from @iheartpoptarts (9) made me cringe then laugh. Whew, what a rollercoaster of emotions: "Why does the instrumental give me Run-DMC? Are the rap stans gonna kill me for that? Do they even go here? Life is hard (or it’s a party), etc." 1) You're just making me think of the song everyone knows I despise by mentioning Run DMC 2) I think it's clear the rap-haters go here because they hated Brigit's rendition or maybe they're rap snobs and think Bridgit failed epically. Life really is hard, etc.

The last thing I ever expected was for @GhettoPrincess (10) to stan for Hannah Montana but it was such a welcomed discovery: "The kinda “pop rock” I’m here for."

The first thing I ever expected was for @WhenTheSunGoesDown (10) to stan for Hannah Montana...well right after Bella, and Ashslay, and Selegend, and Sofia well you get the picture: "An incredible, life-affirming jam." It really does make you feel good when you let the song in.

Yeah but I got a lot of resistance when I also stated how much I hate the Girls Aloud/Sugababes version. All versions. Hate 'em all.

I thought the Girls Aloud / Sugababes collab being a disappointment was why everybody hated it!

(P.S. I don't hate it. Aerosmith are super fun actually.)

I look really miserable because I'm the low scorer for literally everything but I promise I gave loads of tens out!

Finally, you can prove it.

#77. Miranda Cosgrove - Daydream - 6.425

Highest: 10 x 2 (@Blond, DJHazey)

Lowest: 2 (@Satan_Harper) 4 x 2 (@GhettoPrincess, @Sprocky's BF)

Voter Bloc 1: #74
Voter Bloc 2: #80
Voter Bloc 3: #75
Voter Bloc 4: #81
Voter Bloc 5: #92

Final Voters: #77

Hazey's Focus: The last song I added to the list, to make it 101. I realized it was a promo single for Miranda and could add it and wanted her to have as many as songs as Victoria has to represent the Nick Girls (I had just added "Best Friend's Brother" for @Posh Spears who then decided not to vote). As one of you learned during the voting period, yes this was written by Avril & Chantal for Under My Skin, but somehow made its way to Miranda of all people. I wish all of Avril's demos would make their way somewhere, teebs. You can certainly hear the source, especially once you know about it. I still remember the days when Sparks Fly was all I would listen to and how "Daydream" kept coming on all the time until it eventually stormed its way into 'favorite status'. The cascading melodies and how the guitars are always crashing down and igniting the song, combined with the soft little 'la-da-da-da' moments, ugh, this is just perfection to my ears.

Take it from me @Sally_Harper (2) that it takes a while, believe it or not. It was just kind of there for me until about ten plays I would say: "I just tried to listen to this three times in a row and zoned out each time, so I’m going to assume I don’t like it." However, I understand life is short and I often just delete songs I don't like these days.

@Mina visited Wikipedia: ""The song "Daydream" was co-written and originally recorded by Avril Lavigne, co-written by Chantal Kreviazuk and produced by Raine Maida, and was planned for Lavigne's second studio album Under My Skin." o.0" - Yup, so why the average score for something from one your all-time favorite albums?

Oh @iheartpoptarts (6) you're in for a treat: "This has rejected Avril song written all over it. I look at the credits and I see why. Maybe it is one? Well, if anyone will know the answer…"

You can see below what state I'm in after realizing @Martyn (6.5) thinks that score is peak Miranda: "I could tell Avril wrote this straight away. By far the best Miranda song."

But "Kissin U!" Dancing Crazy!" but not even those how about "Oh Oh!" or "BAM!" - I can't accept this.

"So basic but still good" - now that's right spirit @unnameable (8).

Looks like @Blond (10) was happy this rate came along because they were re-united: "Oh my god I was obsessed with the Avril Lavigne demo of this song when I was a kid and I had NO IDEA this version existed!" - I didn't even know about the demo. Oddly, I think Miranda works better for it, well at least this version because I'm sure Disney took liberties on their interpretation of it. I think I would adore both studio versions with either singer. Of course, as we know, Avril could read her grocery list and I'd give it 10/10.
