Yes with what I just said, you'd think you know where my 11 went..
There's a reason I've been defending it so much whenever
@soratami runs ha mouth about it..
It's
my 11 you keep dragging and it deserves to be here dammit! *sobs*

Release: Second single for Demi's third album
Unbroken, in January 2012.
Songwriters: Josh Alexander, Billy Steinberg (both producers as well). Steinberg has been writing hit songs since the 80s, notably "Like a Virgin", "True Colors", and "Eternal Flame".
Fun Facts: Has the dubious distinction of being the first song to hit #1 on the Mainstream Chart without making the Top 10 of Hot 100. "Who's the Boy" was originally going to be the second single from
Unbroken, but featuring vocalist DEV's pregnancy at the time changed the plan.
Hazey's Focus: Seeing this absolutely crush "Skyscraper" after what happened in Demi Lovato rate was so life-giving for me to see. It felt like a true Popjustice moment. Like I said, I was clearly the biggest stan during that rate (not to pump myself up or anything), so it felt like a slap in the face to see it finish #2. Technically "Naturally" is ranked higher because like I just said in this thread, I had at #17 on my Ultimate list, but I had to give the 11 to this one because I wanted redemption and I got it. it worked anyway because "Naturally" is on to the Top 2. Here is my stan-post from the aforementioned rate:
"It's amazing that my 11 comes from easily my least favorite album. (Hilary's self-titled tea.) Effortless pop right here, with every single line gliding along perfectly. I often belt this song out with so much passion that I'm completely out of breath and emotionally burnt out when it's over. It should be posted as a warning somewhere that the replay value is outrageously high because after the physical state I just mentioned I'm ready to dive right into round 2. Then again experiencing something so massive, so existential as this can only add years to your life; the true meaning of "life giving". I must mention that it took me a while to get past how 'yawn-worthy' the second verse is lyrically. (It doesn't help teen-pop lovers like me when the lyrics are this kind of entry level garbage) Though with a chorus as extraordinary as this, there aren't too many things that can ever put a damper on things. My favorite part has become the flawless transition into "cause you've been hurt before..." which ends up being a totally different chorus altogether and so utterly affecting. This element helps to define a song that just never ever lets up and it feels like everything keeps coming at you in continuous waves of ecstasy. Give My Heart A Break indeed, queen!"
I'll find a way to get you back for this
@iheartpoptarts (6) watch your back:
"Too adult contemporary for Disney pop for me. (Sorry! You know I heart you.)"
@WhenTheSunGoesDown (7.5) realized he was talking about "Skyscraper" halfway through his comments:
"Give my EARS a break, Demi! (J/K this song is fine)"
@livefrommelbs (9) is happy for the good sis:
"I love that this was such a hit for Demi. It's so bloody good."
You can never tell if this means
@Sally_Harper (10) just discovered a song while voting, but I'll take it either way:
"I really, really love this song."
Eh this is where
@unnameable (10) have to agree to disagree:
"I love this album."
@Sprockrooster (10) gave it his 11 in Demi rate and honors it here too:
"A staple for a lifetime."
@Martyn (10) thinks it could've been more of a global domination:
"Should have been pushed harder in the UK. Especially after being included on Demi and Skyscraper went Top 10."
11-giver
@Blond (11) made a lot of mistakes with their scores throughout the reveal but it's hard for me too mad considering this score and these thoughts:
"I don’t dislike Demi as a popstar per se, but I feel like her more recent music and attitude come off as a little disingenuous. I wish she would go back to making songs like this because this is such a great pop song that isn’t trying to be anything else." However, you may have made one final mistake.
