I love strawberries in things, but not just strawberries by themselves for some reason.

My friend makes a great fruit salald with mangos, strawberries, blueberries, and cantaloupe in it....Heaven.

Strawberries are just so damn inconsistent though. Sometimes you get great punnets, whilst other times they're just too sweet/mushy etc. I need my fruit to consistently deliver.

Plus, anything strawberry flavoured is always rather... dull? It's like the fruit equivalent of vanilla.

They're nice. Pleasant. That's about it.

What a coincidence that I order a fruit salad for breakfast just before I read all this. The only fruit I dislike that I can think of are grapefruit and melon.

I guess I could have edited out that rule as it contradicts the idea behind Random Thoughts. Let's just try to avoid being cliquey so as not to alienate new members or create bad situations between already existing members who may feel they can start taking jibes at one another. That strawberry rhubarb pies are the standard instead of just strawberry is an injustice. I get that in the olden days rhubarb was used as filler filling , but that's unnecessary now.
