I think the issue with that clip is that it feels dishonest of her. She’s ‘revisiting’ the franchise because she needs the headlines and her current avenues aren’t cutting it when it comes to her ego. Yet she frames it as some academic exercise for which she sadly does not have the range.
I guess I’m irritated most because the podcast itself is quite poor and a real letdown. Bethenny’s delusions and narcissism make her a phenomenal top-tier housewife, for sure, but on the ‘real life’ podcast this just feels uncomfortable. She is saying the bare minimum of value, her guests largely don’t have a clue what they are talking about because they have never seen the show save the one episode (except Queen Moss), and Bethenny is reluctant to challenge anything they say. Suze Orman spoke about how she predicted the Covid pandemic for five minutes, for goodness sake! Do better, Bethenny hun, and maybe I’ll forgive ya!

The podcast isn't a bad idea, but the way she went above it was annoying like many things she does. She made a point of saying she's the first HWs rewatch podcast (a lie), hers is different because she wasn't fired (who cares?), hers is elevated and not explores a trashy show in a more intelligent way (insulting the show and other podcasters).
I just wish Bethenny could have fun. I even tried listening to the podcast and it sucks because she drains the life out of it.

Bethenny went on another rant on her podcast about the WWHL visit. Jeff Lewis to me is pretty unbearable, an example of can give but can't take (see: Brandi Glanville in a male body) but just like Brandi he can spot the BS a mile off. Her explanation of the unfollowing of Kyle Richards, which obviously who cares but c'mon B just own it? Don't try to outsmart people about the obvious.
She's clearly aligning herself to have an issue with Andy and Bravo now too from the sound of it. She said she had pitched the new podcast as a TV show to Bravo but they weren't interested (despite, she says, it being "a HUGE success" which from the figures I've seen, isn't quite correct...).
I think she needs to be reminded of Sonja and Tipsy Girl (TM). A cheater brand. And it feels like B is coming in hot with exactly that, so of course Andy is rolling his eyes a little at the hypocrisy of it.
I like her and I engage with her but she is clearly surrounded by people just showering her with praise (daughter, fiancé, assistants) and not the facts.

Yeah, no one cares that she did a Housewives podcast. It's that she has tried to distance herself from the franchise for years and acts like she's somehow above it, and yet every other show she's done has flopped and now she's diving back in and making $ off Housewives again. I wish she'd just own it and move on. I think more people would get onboard, too.

Or just fucking come back to the show! She's demonic and we all know as such but I think we can equally all agree that she works incredibly in the arena of the Housewives format. She literally doesn't fit anywhere else on television that she's explored since Housewives.
So much would've been fixed by her agreeing to return, and I think while the HR disaster and subsequent hiatus was Ramon-evitable, we could've avoided the split shows if Bethenny returned. A cast shakeup with her returning as an anchor for new cast members would have worked wonders, then let a few of the other returning 'wives battle it out for their apples in filming.
*sigh* I feel like all of my contributions to this thread end up coming back to how this could have all been so different.

LuAnn's fashion truly is horrible. I'm doing my yearly rewatch and it's Ramona's party where she's wearing her jumpsuit from her "line" or "collection" whatever you want to call it.
And I am never prepared for it but the line from season 7 ALWAYS drives me crazy - when LuAnn is in her kitchen and she asks her son if he's drinking out of a jar and he mentions it's a mason "oh he loved drinking out of those"... it distills and sums up everything I loathe about her.

There’s a new rumor on Bravo and Cocktails that while they haven’t convinced her to do Legacy (which makes sense considering where she lives), Alex McCord will be on Ultimate Girls Trip .
If true that’ll be a pretty iconic get. Alex was a true All Star and deserved to stay longer. I wonder which of her RHONY costars they’d pair her with.

To be fair, she *was* back but Dorinda put a stop to it lol. It’s okay though because karma got Dorinda’s ass put on pause and now she’ll have to deal with Jill anyway on Legacy.
