RHONY: Legacy

Currently started Season 6, Aviva has just questioned Carole's credentials as a writer. Literally insane.

Aviva is trying to hard to suck up to Ramona, it's cringe and they can all clock it from a mile away. She definately feels a lot more produced and aware of the narrative this time around and wants to course correct so bad.

My next episode is the 'you wanna deck me?' episode. I will say, I fucking LOVE Heather Thompson. HOLLLAAAAAA

Aviva in Season 6 wasn't as powerful as the superior version in Season 5, but when you unleash all that power, you need to calm down and recharge. I can't recall which season but have you got to Ramona's trauma at being forced to go to Heather's vacation cottage, and suddenly experiencing flashbacks to her awful childhood, flashbacks so intense she has to get a suspiciously available helicopter to a party in New York.

I don't think I'd ever want Aviva coming back as I feel that energy was just a pure lighting in a bottle moment that we were gifted with by the lords of herstory. Both her and Carlton feel like outstanding additions that worked incredibly well in part because their presence was not dilluted in time. Just the right amount of perfection.

I always want Aviva to return. If SATC can have a spin-off following the original cast plus newbies, why not RHONY?

I still haven't read this. Is it worthwhile? How far into RHONY does it go?
It goes up to the end of season 12 (which is annoying as I would love a behind-the-scenes recap of season 13). It’s an easy read - I have so far finished the Orange County and New York sections, and it’s essentially just extended interviews with most cast members and some producers as they discuss each season and big events. You’ll probably know all the facts already, but it’s still entertaining to read how each season played out from their points of view. It also made me understand their rationale for some seemingly bizarre production choices, like bringing Lydia back on RHOC. On another note, Dorinda somehow came across as the most sane cast member on RHONY (after Writer Girl, of course) but Luann sounds like a complete demon off camera.

Aviva was a beautiful capsule of that specific time in reality TV. She would never "work" now, just as Heather didn't, but man...what a time to be alive! Building the cast around Luann, Dorinda, Kristen, KKB and Sonja still seems like the "no brainer" to me. But, it's obvious and right so Bravo will never do it! Eat me, darlin'!
I'd add some new faces too, older fabulous women prepared to give us everything. Bershan too. I'd love to see her back in a spin-off.
