First listen I thought it was a good album, but after repeated listens over the past couple of days I can safely say it's definitely one of my albums of the year. From hearing Russian Roulette, Wait Your Turn and Hard I became really confused over how the album will sound compared to GGGB but there's nothing to worry about here at all.

I think she's created an album which is clearly HER sound, as opposed to completely label driven. Her vocals are the best i've heard them for a long time on the album, and as mentioned previously all the tracks are full of emotion, passion and aggression.

I just pay Fire Bomb and Rude Boy make singles, my favourites from all the tracks! The only ones which havn't quite clicked with me yet are Rockstar 101 and Photographs, but I think thats down to me slowly getting sick of Will.i.am tracks.

Well done Rihanna!!

Really really like this album.

I was no hardcore Rihanna fan before and definitely not one to go for songs in the vein of Hard but she somehow makes it all work.

Russian Roulette, Rude Boy and Te Amo are probably my favourites so far.

More listens on... and I still only like the 3 we heard prior to it's release. Very disappointed, she'll never top GGGB.

I've decided i'm going to ask for this for christmas, i'd stress too much about whether or not i'd like it if I bought it myself.

One thing that is immediately apparent about this album is that it will sound absolutely phenomenal in a live setting. Must. Get. Tickets!

This album is a huge disconnect for me. I love Rihanna. I love her styling. I love "dark" content. I have no problem with a lack of immediate hooks, sparse instrumentation,etc. Basically, I should love this album.

I certainly don't. I love Wait Your Turn, and Russian Roullette, and really enjoy a few others (Hard,Stupid in Love,Firebomb). The rest is largely fine ,but so few stick out in "this is a great song" way; oftentimes a snatch of some of the cringeworthy lyrical content is the only thing that makes me take notice of a track. I'm in love with The-Dream (his solo work, his songwriting and production for others) but even his contributions don't knock me over.

Hopefully it will grow on me. I am frankly surprised at the love for Rude Boy and Photographs; by far the weakest tracks on this album for me.

Stupid in Love sticks out like a sore thumb for me. It's just so drab and sounds like it should be a bonus track from GGGB. I currently think that the second half of the album is much stronger than the first, starting from Russian Roulette. Wait Your Turn is good too but the line before the chorus that goes "It's just the way the game is played it's best that you just wait your turn" really annoys me.

That is an amazing title BUT the name of Rihanna's band is "The Mad House", so I don't think they would call it that as Rihanna is the star of the show.
