I think he's saying you're a bit too enthusiastic about Rihanna. But then, I love the album too so I'm not going to disagree with you. Personally I think there are plenty of songs that will make great singles. Might not deliver as many number ones, but being number one doesn't make a song good (*cough* 3 *cough*).

And by the way, surely the soaring line in Fire Bomb is "The lovers need to clear the road", not "the room"? It's all about cars!

Don't know what I was hearing! I still like "clear the room better" though.

I too ger bored with overfan fans (see Chezza4lyf, Girls Aloud and Leona threads) but I think 3Xs is the right kind of entusiastic. THE ALBUM IS SO GOOD!

SAME! I won't be home until at least 5 PM (eastern time in the US), which is one hour after it starts. So hopefully some tech savvy fan can record the concert or something. I really wanna see it! :-(

I spent all sunday formualting my thoughts on this album, I think its still not my cup of tea right now, Gaga's club bangers are what i wanna hear right now, BUT, i can see that this is a truly great album. I'm not into the gangster tracks but thematically and lyrically they add so much to this album. I love the latter half really, its like the sun peering out of the clouds she wraps herself in on the earlier tracks.
Great lyrics, great production, cohesive concepts and tone to the whole thing, vocally on form too. With some good videos there a tons of singles here, agreed mayvbe not number 1s and club/radio smashes per se, but in america urban radio will eat this up.
My cheif reservation is just looking ahead. I hope this isnt a creative cul-de-sac for Rihanna. A lot of artists followed her lead with GGGB but this is a path only Rihanna can walk, deep dark, brooding and oh so macabre, but i hope she doesnt stick with this and will one day be a pop princess again cos shes good at that too.
